What book are you currently reading?

Today I finished "My Spy"by Christina Skye. I love her books for an easy romantic read with an actual plot mixed in. Yesterday I finished "Absolute Power" by David Baldacci. It was a good book too. I just got hooked on that author and so far my favorite of his has been "Last Man Standing" which is one of the best books I've read in a while.

41 SHORT STORIES by O. Henry. It has one of my favorite stories, "THE GIFT OF THE MAGI" in it.

A Man of Faith
The Spiritual Journey of George Bush
by David Aikman. So far very good. I like non fiction.:D

The Body Farm by Patricia Cornwell.

Just drove from Colorado to Florida and listened to Dutch (Ronald Regan bio), but I am reading the new Clinton book when I can catch time. Both are very interesting.

Bourne Idenity since I just saw the dvd.I also save the heavy stuff for winter

I am engrossed in: Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer.

It is about Mormon Fundamentalists and the true story of a murder.

It is a fascinating history lesson in the lcreation and ife of the Mormon church. And I thought the Catholic church was bad!!

I just finished Under the Banner of Heaven last month! Krakauer is great. . .I loved Into thin Air (but not his next book. . .don't remember the name).

Just finished The Venona Secrets: Exposing Soviet Espionage and America's Traitors, by Herbert romerstien and Eric Breindel

To those interested in what was ReALLY going on during the McCarthy era. . .I highly recommend it.

Also, The Third Terrorist, by Jayna Davis. . .EXCELLENT & THOUGHT-PROVOKING

I'm reading Song of Susannah (6th book in the Dark Tower series) By Stephen King.

The Warlord by Malcome Bosse. Great book. Fictional historical account of a Chinese General in the 1930's.

I just finished reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden. I'm sorry I've finished it....it was SO good, I wanted it to go on and on! ::yes:: :D

Just finished Glenraven by Marion Zimmer Bradley and The Last Juror by John Grisham.

I've just started Secret Service: Hidden Systems that Deliver Unforgettable Customer Service by John R. Dijulius III. So far it's been a really great book and I'm picking up tons of tips.

I, too, just read Under The Banner of Heaven . YIKES.

Last week I finished The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkurst (a Washington DC author). VERY, VERY good. An easy, light read that is quite bittersweet, funny. It's about a man who gets called home because his wife has fallen from their apple tree to her death. The only one that saw anything was the family dog. He can't figure out why she was in the apple tree. He then finds a few weird clues as to what she was doing that day and the story is about how he tries to determine why/how his wife died (tries to get info from the dog!). Very good read.

I'm now reading Stiff by Mary Roach. This is story (supposedly funny) about how important cadavers have been throughout history, what they are used for, how they are treated, etc. Just read the first chapter and I already like it.

I'm currently about half way through "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck. I love to read just about any kind of book from romance to mystery to history to true crime. And I try to throw in a classic I've never read every once in a while.

By the way......excellant book..I would recommend to anyone
My all-time favorite book!! :)

I just finished Best Friends by Martha Moody. Definitely recommend it. :)

Now I'm reading The Amatuer Marriage by Anne Tyler. Not a huge fan of her work and this is typical of her writing style. I may or may not finish it. Just too slow.

seeing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, forced me to re-read that book and those that follow
i'm in the middle of Goblet of Fire at the moment. yes i'm lame. i'm as bad as a thirteen year old when it comes to harry potter. i want to be Hermione's friend!
