I just finished the Dean Koontz book, "Odd Thomas," and now I'm reading his "Forever Odd." His newest book, "Brother Odd," is on deck. If you haven't ever read a Dean Koontz book, try "Odd Thomas, " I think you'll like it.

True Evil by Greg Iles.

I've got a goal to read 100 books this year. I'm already on my 3rd (3 1/2 if you count the Unofficial Guide.) :teeth:

My new year's resolution is to read more books. Right now I am reading Hypocrite in a Pouffy White Dress by Susan Jane Gilman. Its really funny. I wanted to read a little of it this morning but I can't find my reading glasses.

Received my copy of Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination by Neal Gabler from Amazon on Friday. Looking forward to starting it tonight.

Vince Flynn's Executive Power.

I am just finishing up "S is for Silence", the most recent book in the Kinsey Millhone mystery series by Sue Grafton.

Okay I feel silly-but I had never read "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee-I am reading it now and Love it.

Next I am rereading Catcher in the Rye. and I also have 1776 to read.

I just finished Running With Scissors. I haven't seen the movie and I don't think I want to.

Cross by James Patterson.

Just last night, I finished The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Settefield. http://www.thethirteenthtale.com/ WONDERFUL story!! It's amazing to think that this is her first book. She spins a story that completely immerses you. I was so sorry to see it end.

I couldn't make it through more than 20 pages of The Thirteenth Tale. :scared: You hit the nail on the head when you used the word "spin" -- her convoluted writing style made my head spin! :rotfl: Glad you enjoyed it though.

What kind of person would like that book? (I'm trying to figure out which family member or friend I could give this book to, since I don't need to keep it. It's a hardcover so I'd like to find it a nice home.)

I am still trying to finish The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards. It is good but it makes me sad.

I'm also reading the Walt Disney book by Neal Gabler. I have to try to fit time in between work, family and putting away Christmas ornaments!

It is indeed... different. I suspect it's a writing style that one either loves or hates, as it is very unique. I seem to enjoy that in a story. Each page becomes a puzzle, a mystery to solve. Who to give it to? Hmmm... good question. Perhaps find the most, er... "unique" person you know, they would most likely be a good match for one another. :p The story is essentially a mystery, so a lover of that genre perhaps?

You guys will have to tell me how that Gabler book is! I've been ogling it since it first came out, but I'm not sure if I want to pay the $35.
