What Bills Do You Hate The Most?

I'm really old. First mortgage minus insurance and tax escrow was about $280 a month.

I've got you beat. My first mortgage, INCLUDING the insurance and tax escrows was $270/month. We paid it off in about 20 years. The new house mortgage payment is almost exactly 10 times that amount. I plan on paying that off in less than 20 years.

That said, the bill I hate paying the most right now is our car payment. Can't wait till the sucker is paid off. I hope to never have another car payment.

:goodvibesI thought you were talking the Buffalo Bills & my answer would have been probably TO - based on his previous NFL antics :) - my car payment as it is way too high....my fault - hoping to trade for a new Chrysler/Dodge van with a good deal.

I pretty much like all the Bills. On the other hand, some of the Titans really tweak me.

Probably DH's student loan bills. He took so long to graduate from college that I guess I had just gotten used to not having to pay them, LOL! They just annoy the stew out of me for some reason!

My electic bill, which routinely runs over 1000 bucks in the summer, our budget plan is 560 a month and when we have the air on it is set at 79. Total crap imho.

Health insurance - huge chunk of my pension check for very, very little coverage.. But - I wouldn't dare go without it..

Next would be cable/internet up here at the lake - but without it, there is no t.v. reception at all and I need the internet for business.. I might not hate it as much if I could include my telephone (get the whole bundle), but I can't.. We're in a "dead zone" - no cell phones work here - so I have to pay for a land line as well..

Are you serious?!?! I would fall over in a dead faint if my electric bill was that high. I'm assuming that you have electric heaters, but even so!! I think my gas and electric bills combined in the dead of winter, which is our most expensive season, don't top $350. :faint:

Rent!

I calculated that I've paid $52,000 in the last 8 years! It kills me to think I could have paid that on buying my own place. But then I think of the hassle free things like not paying insurance, no worry with yard work, maintanance, etc.

I agree! I hate rent!

But I have to add grocery shopping on that list...Seems like it's the 2nd highest bill for us every month (not that it's really a bill, but you kwim!) ;)

I hate our health insurance bills as well. It really stinks paying the monthly insurance and still having to come up with money for doctor/hospital visits. Especially one time when they told us that what we were charged by the hospital was 'way too high and not an acceptable amount' as if we had a choice about it. They initially refused to pay it (because I guess even though it cost too much for them they thought it then should be acceptable to us???) until DH found something to threaten them with.

I really hate it that they will only take responsibility for their costs when you push and push the issue and quote laws that they are trying to get around.

DH and I closed on our first house December 22, 08. Our mortgage, minus escrow and hazard insurance, is $397... :rolleyes1

I hate the payment for DH's braces the most. It's $155/month. :headache:
I know it's beneficial but he hates having them and I hate budgeting for them. :rotfl:

Gas & Electric...just recently found out that they are now going to charge even higher "delivery" service charges...they don't come & deliver anything. The pipes have been underground for years-just another way to rip us off some more.:)

For me, it's the hospital bill, we're done paying it off in the fall. :worship: It's 250 a month.

I hate the water bill the most. It's only about $20 a month, but it's the only one I can't pay on-line or over the phone. I rarely send things through regular mail (and I used to work for the USPS!), so I usually pay it at their office. Their office is only about 1 mile RT out of the way, but it's just a nuisance.

I've just started paying $100 at a time toward the bill. That way, I have a credit on the bill for several months, and don't even have to think about it at all.

It was daycare, but it is a good daycare so we pay, but now that dd is about to go to kindergarten, it's going to be the mortgage. I can't wait to pay it off.

52,000 dollars in SC! MY GOD!

Yea, time for your own place hun. :thumbsup2
