What bag to use around the parks

The last time I was at WDW, the kids were young enough for a double stroller = aka Bag holder.

What does everyone do with their backpacks when going on the big roller coasters?

I used an Initials Inc sling backpack (similar to Kavu rope sling, but larger) and on EE I was able to shove just the bottom into the pouch in front for extra security and I clipped strap around my inside leg (depending on which side of car sitting on). On RNRC I set in floor and clipped strap around my inside leg . Same with Space Mtn.

I guess I could always clip the strap around my waist since the big coasters that the over-the-shoulder lock arms...

Vera Bradley mini hipster or triple zip hipster. The smaller the bag, the better. I used to carry a huge bag with everything I thought we could possibly need, and we never used it. Now, DD and I each carry a small bag, and DH puts some of those $.99 emergency ponchos in his pocket. On days where we think we will need them, we stash jackets in a locker at the front of the park to be retrieved after dark.

We have water bottle carriers so that defiantly helps lighten the load. I still use a back pack but its not that heavy. But I am carrying ponchos, mister fans (looking for straps for those!).

Some days at the parks I can get away with a fanny pack though.

I use a Vera Bradley mini hipster as well. It's big enough for my ID, compact, lip balm, sunglasses, a $0.99 poncho, and my iphone with a bit of room to spare. I only want to carry the absolute essentials. Anything else I can pick up while I'm out if I really need it.

+1 for crossbody. I going to be buying a bag on Etsy (mrHighpants shop) that holds a lot.

I have a piazza day bag and I don't find it to be comfortable to wear for long. My go to bag is a bagallini messenger bag. It is roomy enough for me to carry all of my stuff with me, and yet comfy enough that it doesn't feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders.
I use both of these bags too! I like the Piazza if I don't have too much weight and the Messenger if I need to carry more. I also sometimes use the small Vera Bradley Midnight Mickey because the weight balance is more comfortable.

My kids are older now so I may try to downgrade to a mini bag on our next trip!

I love a sling pack with a strap that can change sides. Mine is an Eddie Bauer and has a buckle on each corner at the bottom that the strap can clip to to switch sides. The back panel that touches the body is a mesh padding that reduces sweating.

I have the same bag. I love it, it is so comfortable I forget I have it on. I got a second one for my daughter so she can carry her own stuff. I got my son a different small sling bag, Eddie Bauer are to girly.

I love crossbody bags. You can reach into them without stopping to remove a backpack, and you can just leave them in place below the restraint on most rides. So convenient.

I used a Dooney & Bourke nylon cross body first trip. It fit everything I needed, but I found the thin leather strap cut into my shoulder a little by the end of the day...especially by day 4 or 5. We bring a backpack in with mesh backing, and take turns wearing it. This trip I have a Kate Spade leather backpack. I am packing a smaller nylon bag to use for any days with rain in the forecast.
