What attractions have a "better" side to sit on?

Looking at some recent shots that were taken on various attractions got me thinking...are there any that have a side that is "better" (photographically speaking) than the other?

For example, when we went on Kilimanjaro Safaris in 2007, I sat on the right side and seemed like every animal I saw was on the opposite side of the jeep. As a result, most of my pictures were taken through the row of seats which made a lot of them have people's heads/shoulders/camera/etc.

So---what attractions have a better side to sit on, which side would that be and why??

You beat me to it. When we went on the Safari last week - DD10 sat on the right side and held the camcorder, myself in the middle with the camera - DD8 sat on the left side. The vast majority of the animals were on the left. I felt so bad for DD10.

In the Nemo show in AK, we sat down in front on the right side, but at the edge of the bleacher towards the center. Got some great pictures from there.

Not a side, but I suggest the front row on POTC.

That works, maybe I'll modify the original post to say which seats, rather than side. I would think this would be the case on most rides that have multi-row vehicles (Small World, Splash Mountain, maybe Everest), right?

I think the best side for the safari is usually the one you didn't get.

I would think that if you wanted to shoot photos on something like Big Thunder Mountain or Everest, sitting about halfway back or more would be best, especially for shots that include the train out in front of you. It may be a minority view, but I'm convinced the best seat for the ride experience on Big Thunder is toward the middle anyway, and not in the back as many seem to believe.

Most of the "big" animals would be on your left on the Safari. Giraffe's can be on either, but I've found them mostly on the right.

The elephants, lions, hippos, and rhino's are passed on the left side of the jeep.

PotC, first row is a good suggestion. Last row can give a different perspective on some scenes.

GMR, either side. There are some nice photo ops on both sides. Some ofo the others don't necessarily matter as your in a car/cart/thingy with only 1 other person, ie: Peter Pan, HM, Pooh. IASW has stuff all over the place.

Next time I do Indina Jones, I'll head to the right side of the theater as you enter. Better view of the "opening scene". Lights, Motor, Action, probably in the middle to get a cool shot at the end as the car goes through the big explosion.

Like everyone else has said, I think Safaris is the big one where the side really matters, especially as the vehicles are so wide. Last time I rode it (which was two trips ago), I was on the right and naturally had a horrible time getting anything close to a decent shot.

The only other thing I can think of is maybe Tomorrowland Transit Authority... right side may be slightly better as you're closer to the Space Mt interior and most of the dioramas, plus I believe that's the side that you can see the fireworks more clearly on if you're riding it during Wishes.

Ellen's Energy Adventure is probably a little better on the left side, and Dinosaur seems to have most of the big animals on the left side as well. (Hmm, I'm sensing a trend here!) I think that most all the theater shows are best in the middle... for the "theater in the round" of Legend of the Lion King, you may want to be on the side closer to the entrance, so when the fire juggler lies on his back, you're not stuck just looking at his butt! :teeth:

For rides with front-to-back seating, obviously front is best for photography (not always for the ride itself) except maybe for BTMRR.

I had some luck in the back row on the safari. Seems like whichever side you choose you miss something. In the back you can turn around and get some animals as you pass by without any heads/shoulders in the way. The giraffes happened to be following us.

You like the front on that ride? I like the very back so that you are already going fast before you even reach the top of the hill :woohoo:
