Bumping this thread because I think it is fun!
Blackunicorn said:Oh boy--we go in September, and in our experience, the line for the Storybookland Canal Boats was VERY long. Not as long as Peter Pan's ride, but I believe we stood in line for 40 minutes. Plus, we didn't enjoy it. (Lovely miniatures, but no pizzazz. The CM didn't seem to care about her job, either.) I agree that Alice in Wonderland is a fun ride, but we always seem to stand in line for at least 20 minutes, no matter what time of day we jump in line.
The over-rated rides and attractions for us were:
Aladdin (the show)
Soarin' Over California
Fantasmic!
Snow White (the show)
Any fireworks show we've seen at Disney so far
But, I openly admit that we're freaks--based on every response I've ever seen, these shows are fantastic for the vast majority of people who see them. I just don't get it, apparently.
Under-rated rides/attractions that we like:
Mulholland Madness
Muppet 3D
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
The Buzz Lightyear Show
The Tiki Room
These are just the ones that seem to be the least favorite of everyone else--we really enjoy lots of rides and attractions at DL!
Bill Lumbergh said:Underrated: The D.U.H. improv show at DCA. I wandered upon this show while waiting for a FP window to open. It was pretty funny! It's not advertised a whole lot in the official or unofficial DL guidebooks. When it is, it is only mentioned as "an improv show." But take some time to wander to the D.U.H. stage and watch or show or two.

My family used to leave the parks for an hour at times to go look around the hotel and walk through the waterfalls area. I distinctly remember going directly to the hotel, not across the street in DD the way it is now. I think they have moved the monorail as well, at least that was my impression when I went back as an adult.
It looks so different now, but the monorail was never "moved"- the station is in the same place it's always been. It is the layout around it that has been changed.
Underrated: Casey Jr.'s Circus Train
Overrated: Star Tours
