What area to request

Hi everyone!
I'm sooooo excited! We are new DVC owners & yesterday we just booked our 1st trip to SSR. We're going May 12-19. While booking the trip, the idea suddenly occurred to me that I should maybe request an area, so I requested the "Springs" area (because I've read a lot about this area), but now I'm not so sure...I just read a few posts that mentioned a new area, "Carousel?".

Here's some info. on our family...
Me, DH, DD12 & DS8 (both kids love to play in the pool)


So, in your opinion, which area has the best pool?

Which area is closest to the dining area?

Carousel and Grandstand could be open by your trip. You may want to wait to see what the new feature pool looks like before you make your request - it's easy to add the request later and rooms are not preassigned far in advance, so it's not a disadvantage to wait.

The Springs is closest to the dining/current feature pool. I really like Congress Park as well - it has a very nice quiet pool that overlooks DTD.

We stayed in Bldg 2 of the springs section which is driectly acroos from the main building and main pool as well as very close to the bus stop

It is a great area to stay at.
