on illegal drugs.

As most of you know yesterday was "National Smoke Weed Day". People on the CB, adults, were joking about pot and whatnot. So I was just wondering what you guys think of illegal drugs?

A lot of my friends did 4/20.

I personally think drugs are lame, they're illegal for a reason. There really isn't any thing good that can come from them other than about 5 minutes of high. Not really worth the risk.

I don't really have a strong opinion about them. I personally don't do them, I know very few people who do them. I guess it just depends on the situation.

But not all drugs have the same affect on people. Heroin is illegal because it does more damage than good...if at all any good. Ibuprofen helps more than cause damage. Why should both be considered illegal? Also...some drugs have different levels of dependency...while, say, sleeping pills (to be casual lol) have high dependency risks...they are not nearly as risky as tobacco which has higher dependency risks and is undoubtfully more dangerous to people. If a drug that kills people more commonly than others is illegal...why also illegalize drugs that help people live?

If all people did was shoot up in their basements, then fine, whatever, I wouldn't care.
But drug addicts often don't have enough cash to buy all the drugs they need to get high, so they turn to other illegal stuff and violence to get it.
Although I suppose if drugs were legal then their prices would go way down.

Honestly, I do not know the affects and risks of maijuana well enough to have a decent opinion on that issue. I know what I hear about marijuana from peers and from teachers...but I have never done enough research on it to gain my own opinion. If I were to take a jab at it, I would disagree since from what I hear, it appears that marijuana would be used to get stoned more than it would be used for medical reasons...but then again, I honestly have no idea.

Yeah, that is how I understand it also. But I don't know what side affects include when used medically and what the lasting side affects are from it used illegally (since I also take it that a more correct dosage would be given if perscribed by a doctor as compared to someone using it for "high benefits".) to then compare the two and how it may turn out. I don't know whether marijuana is better than it is bad. If it is worse than it is good, I would disagree with legalizing it.

Having wine or beer every now and then wont kill your liver. Drinking wine in moderation is actually good for you.
One line of cocaine can get you addicted.

if we're speaking of drugs such as tobacco, heroine, cocaine, alcohol, the side-effects aren't all that different.

a high.

followed by a crash.

followed by addiction.

followed by health complications.
