well aspirin thins your blood. (it helps with pain because the blood passes more easily through veins. which reduces pressure)

synthroid is a hormone. (your thyroid produces a hormone, testosterone if i'm not mistaken. if you produce too much or too little, you need a synthetic thyroid or synthroid for your body to use.)

zyrtec is an antihistamine. (histamine is a protein. that is involved in allergic reactions. antihistamines kill the histamine.)

But you can become addicted to all of those, if thats what your referring to.

Yes, I know what all those drugs are for. I'm saying they don't harm you as much as herione, cocaine. And Shelby, you can get addicted to anything. And anything can be harmful to you. But come on, there's a BIG difference between those drugs.

I was just trying to prove my point of how all drugs should be legal or illegal.

I think that if pot's illegal, alcohol and cigarettes should be too.

Alcohol can cause so much damage; not just to the person drinking it, but if they then get in a car, drive, get into an accident, and kill a car full of people.

I'm not saying everyone that drinks is an alcoholic, drunk driver, whatever.

But it'd be nice if alcohol was a little more difficult to get.

But I agree, if pot is legalized, accidents because of impaired drivers will definately rise.

I don't care if people do any of the above, as long as they're not people who are close to me.

I don't do any of it, mostly because it's not appealing to me. Perhaps it will be in the future, I am not sure, but there's no point to smoking pot at the moment.

But, I believe that drugs such as marijuana should be fully legalized. I think it's absurd that someone that has drugs on them, or someone who is smoking marijuana is thrown in jail. Why are they put right next to rapists and murderers? What wrong have they done? It seems absurd to punish them so greatly for it.

I do not like drugs, I have never done them and don't plan on it.
Now if we were to make alcohol or tobacco illegal as some of you suggested, you know the demand for it will increase, remember the 20's when they banned alcohol and made it illegal, it will still be used to a greater extent because it is illegal. Maybe if we were to make marijuana legal it would lose it's interest, I don't know.

For Medical reasons it has its up and downs, I did a report on it in health, it can be good but it also can be bad.

The drugs that are ilegal are illegal for a reason, and usually the ones in jail next to rapists and murderers have done more than smoked a lil weed in there basement.

I disagree, now a days smoking weed isn't that big of a deal. I know parents, who beat their children, are always high and drunk and they aren't punished in anyway except having their kids taken away. Cops don't care much if you smoke pot.

They do in my town. My friend Ryan was caught with marijuana on him, and he was sent to Juvee for a full month. They did a drug test on him, and it proved there hadn't been any illegal drugs in his system, so he wasn't even smoking it! Cops are all over it here... xD

And yes, the abusers need to go to jail as well. But, abusers are worse than pot smokers, agree?

i don't do illegal drugs. they're stupid each time you take them your at risk of dying and once you get in there it's hard to get out. it wastes your money till your forced to steal and can change your lifestyle. drug-dealing shoudln't be tken lightly. it doesnt matter wether or not they're taking they're supplying it and endangering lives.

smoking. i haven't smoked anything. tobbaco or pot. that is just stupid again. i have seen pics of what tobacco does to you and that ent pretty. you increase your chance of heart disease, lung cancer and other forms of diseases. Tobacco may not be illegal but it's stilll very dangerous.

alcohol. a drink every so often is harmless. hell even i drink it. but if you have too much it can be lethal. it eats your liver and i believe can damamge your stomach. it makes you smell and it's quite an expensive addiction.

If any current illegal drug should be legalized it should be Marijuana. First of all it would generate about $2.4 billion in tax revenue + about $7.7 billion in freed up funds we use to incarcerate marijuana users.

Also more and more studies are showing positive medical effects, a study was just released which shows that marijuanas main chemical THC could actually prevent lung cancer. It seems to be shrinking tumors in the lung.

I agree. Drug abusers are different from the occaisonal college kids who smoke a little weed.

DarlingDonald, drugs include prescription drugs. If I know what you're saying, then that's already the case. Herione, cocaine, pot it's already illegal.
