What are your Thanksgiving Plans??

I'm cooking for 4 - it's the one day of the year I do actually cook! But we don't do turkey - we have steak and a mish-mash of traditional and non-traditional sides. DH is actually off for the first time in 5 years, so we can eat early instead of working around his schedule. Then we'll put up the Christmas tree and probably play some games. DsD had mentioned going to see Harry Potter at night, but I have a feeling we'll be too tired.

I'm working Black Friday, so I thankfully I won't be tempted to venture out into the insanity! I am off the rest of the weekend, and I hope to finish most of my online shopping then.

We are going back to our traditional Cape Cod Thanksgiving, with some modifications. DH, DD, Morgan (MomE's marshmellow dawg), and I are heading up Thursday. (I am going to miss going to M's with BAMB and MomK) MomE will be going to brunch at her friend's house and watch the Manchester Road Race. She will then go over to my SIL's parents house for dinner. She'll come to the Cape Friday and that is when we will have Thanksgiving Dinner.

DH and I have a bathroom to grout so hopefully we will get it all done this weekend. Not sure we will do any black Friday shopping, might go out later Friday evening. Will definitely go to Trader Joes and the Christmas Tree Shop.

Morgan - marshmellow dawg? I *thought* that meant something like a Bichon - you know? Soft and white? Imagine my utter SHOCK when a ''small horse'' size shephard appeared

I always cook Thanksgiving and I absolutely love doing it (no matter how much I complain ).

Wednesday night we'll brine the turkey.
Thursday morning we'll watch the parade - it's not Thanksgiving at my house without the Macy's Parade!
Start cooking . . . and cooking and cooking . . .
Neighbors will come over for appetizers around 4:00 and dinner will be around 7:00 pm - it's become tradition to have our next door neighbors over and they bring the homemade cranberry sauce!
Clean up and to bed early because both DH and I have to work Friday.

Friday night we'll repeat T-Day dinner, probably with our neighbors again. I think it tastes even better the second day!

but you have to admit, he is a marshmellow. Definitely a mama's boy.

Dinner at moms. I cook the green bean casserole and sweet potatoes. Mom does the turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, and stuffing.

DH and I may or may not go to Michael's. Mom doesn't want to go.

Pack kids up to stay with mom.

Friday - DH and I are going to get up early and hit BF sales.

Saturday - Mom, DD and I are headed on a bus trip to NYC to see the Rockettes and go to the American Girl store.

Sunday - Veg out and eat leftovers.

I have, 2 Christmas's ago. It was crazy!!! Mom has a huge shopping list. I hope to sneak bitty twins out for DD but she'll be with me so I may have to order them.
