What are your pets' favorite "toys"?

Our German Shepherd goes nuts over paper towel and toilet paper rolls. I gave them to him a few times when his real toys were lost again (he's worse than the kids!), and now, you can't take one off the holder without him staring you down and waiting. He likes to tear apart egg cartons too. They really make a mess, but it keeps him busy...for a while. For some strange reason, even though I hand it to him, he thinks he has something he's not supposed to have...he runs off with it and hides, looking furtively for someone coming to take it back...and that makes him VERY happy.

DH had a German Shepherd mix when we were dating, who terrified me when I'd use a kitchen Dixie cup to get a drink of water...he looked ready to attack for it. At least that was my impression, back before I ever owned a dog, when I was wimpy(er).

What do your pets go nuts for?

we would call that recycling when she would tear apart toilet and paper towel rolls.....xmas was a big big holiday to her......but she had a big big bucket full of 36 stuffed animals and beanies from disney...she was a royal spoiled baby.......we did love her alot...now Clutch my daughters rottie has all of Jasmines toys.......Our baby was a 8 year old dalmatian .....she was loved I can tell you that

I have a 17 yo indoor cat that goes "hunting" everynight. She hunts for those wild dirty socks. She digs for them in the laundry basket and then carries them around the house making these goofy noises. If she can't find any dirty ones she'll open my sons dressers and take out clean ones. She only goes for white socks and rarely takes my DH's dark work socks. Her 16 yo daughter has a stuffed reindeer head she carries around.

I have another cat that likes to play with the twisties from bread bags, etc.

LOL at these replies! Our two jack russells LOVE the toilet paper tubes and any kleenex or tissue paper (unused). They also run under the bed to "destroy" the poor paper products! Not sure why they like paper products sooooo much!!!!! But, it keeps them busy!

What is it with dogs and those paper tubes? I think my dog loves to rip them apart because I talk through them first, and he hates that!

His favorite toys are his Kong, filled with cheese or peanut butter and his frisbee, which is strong nylong cloth stretched across a flexible plastic ring, so it doesn't hurt his teeth.

My cats love the rings from around plastic gallon milk jug tops, you know, the ones you rip off to open the milk? And two of them love to shred the paper towels! We can't put them on the holder, we have to put them away in a cabinet or they get shredded. I forgot last weekend and lost 3 brand new packages of paper towels in 24 hours.

My cats have different toys.

Fergie loves Koosh balls, especially the type that you can fling. She likes to "go long". She brings me them as gifts when I'm being especially good.

Diana loves her "attack mice" and her "krinkle balls".

The little plastic caps you get off of syrup bottles. My kitty loves them!!

Our friend's dog likes to chase empty plastic gallon milk bottles. We tried that with our dog - and she runs to hide everytime she sees one!

She insists on the real McCoy toys!

My cats go into a frenzy if they see a Q-tip. There's nothing better than that for them!

One of my cats loves plastic bags. He opens the cupboard and takes them out in the middle of the night. I bought him a crinkle sack, but noooooooo - only the real cheap plastic bags for my kitty!
