We are eating at the Crystal Palace on our last night of our upcoming Christmas trip and I am now having second thoughts. We do have a 3 year old and a 8 month old, so it will be fun for them with the Winnie the Pooh cahracters, but what about the food? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Did we make a big mistake for our last night?

I really enjoy CP for dinner. We ate there last week. I love all of their cold selections just as much as the hot entrees.

we ate dinner for the first time at CP in june and loved it,so much so that i'm trying so far without any luck to get an ADR for dinner in december. the salmon and the pork are wonderful forgot what else i really liked i think it was mussels they also have wonderful desserts, everyone in my family loved it even my teenage son.It was the first time that we did a character meal, i think that made it extra special.you won't be dissapointed in CP.

Loved the CP for dinner. We ate there this past February with our DS9. Many years back (about 6) we were there with our 15 month year old son and he had a ball with the characters. The food is wonderful also. We going back to WDW next February but haven't booked the CP. We're wanting to try some new places. Boo! I think you'll love the food I know we did and we're picky eaters. Hope this helps.

We really enjoyed our dinner there in the spring. My absolute faves were the mashed potatoes and pasta with cheese and mushrooms, I also really enjoyed the Spoon Bread, pork and desserts. The kids and DH ate well here too.

We've done both lunch and dinner and both were equally wonderful! Fun w/ the characters, good food, good selection...such a wonderful atmosphere!

It was my favorite restaurant of all!I loved the prime rib the shrimpetc etc ,the desserts were the best anywhere!! The place is elegant and the charcters were great. For me it's a must do everytime!!

We have eaten dinner there a few times and enjoy it very much. The adobe pork is out of this world

We had dinner there 2 weeks ago, and it was great! The soup was yummy, the salmon was great, and the pork was the best pork I have ever had. I was so full, I couldn't even eat dessert! :scared1: I am still not over that!
Go and have a great time!

Thanks everyone for your input. You are really helping to put my mind at ease. I was really concerned at first because I had not heard great things about it but you all really helped me feel better! Thanks again!

We ate there last year and it is one of the first requested places to eat this year by DH and DDs. We love CP.

Keep it!!! This was the surprise of our last trip and we booked it again. We did it for our 2 year old to have some Pooh and Tigger action and the food was fantastic. I was very shocked at how good it actually was. The salads were wonderful as was the shrimp and hot bar. I cant wait to eat there in a couple of weeks.:thumbsup2

we were able to get a last minute ressie this past saturday and the food was excellent. of our entire trip imo cp had the best food.

I have to agree with consensus that Crystal Palace is a top notch buffet. They've got a great selection of salads, peel and eat shrimp, great pulled pork and excellent prime rib. If you can deal with the chaos that comes with eating there (tends to be a little loud, but fun) it's a must do.

Just make sure you get a table away from the front windows where people on the outside sit and wait to be called. We had numerous young kids putting their faces on the window trying to get a glimpse of the characters. I understand their curiosity, but it was a bit uncomfortable to eat with little faces pressed against the glass. :) (it was funny though.)

We loved our dinner at CP. The food was great and the characters were fun too!

Crystal Palace is the only restaurant I've eaten at every single time I've been to WDW! Including waaay back in the '80's when we used to get a spaghett:thumbsup2 i dinner there [anyone remember that?]!

Our dining review of our August trip to Crystal Palace (with pics) is here.

We enjoyed our meal here. There was a good variety of everything, most of the dishes had a little something extra to them to make them interesting, it wasn't picked over so the food was fresh. Great dessert area. Add in the character interaction, and it's a winner. We'll eat there again.

We have done breakfast, lunch and dinner at CP. It's a must do when we go to the world. Everyone always asks for it. The food is very good.
