What are your must pack items for WDW?

aftersun gel or aloe. This is great if you get burned and will help keep the skin from peeling. Of course this should be in conjunction with the massive amounts of sunscreen to be worn

HA! I was just going through this thread to see if I had forgotten anything and I had! My aloe gel! I need to go take it out of the fridge now and pack it up! Thanks for this!

Body glide (great for potential blisters).
A small woven basket for the table in our room, a place to put all the stuff that you pull out of your pockets at the end of the day.
A corkscrew.
A short string of colored Italian lights (we call them ‘party lights’) to hang in the room at night. Besides being festive they make a nice nightlite.
Incense for atmosphere.
A pack of playing cards for that essential game of solitaire while you are waiting for everyone else to get dressed. :cool1:

I want to vacation with YOU! You really seem to know how to have a good time! Love your ideas :)

I found a good packing list on the mousesavers website -- from the home page, click on Walt Disney World, scroll down to where you see "Time is Money" and click on that. On the page that opens is a link to the Ultimate Packing List. I downloaded that, customized it for my needs and printed it out.....there are a few things on the list that are very good ideas that you might not think of to bring!

I agree with everything that has been posted, but just wanted to add that clothespins are invaluable as well in hanging up wet swim suits each night to dry...and I always take an air freshener for our hotel room, in case the room has a 'funky' smell...

I take extra folded pillowcases for our pillows...If I don't need them on the bed, they make nice dirty clothes baskets to haul the dirty clothes to the laundry...

...speaking of, you might want to take travel-sized laundry soap, as well as dryer sheets for doing a load of clothes, if you need to...

...and a roll of quarters and pennies, both for doing laundry, as well as the pressed penny machines at the parks.

We're also taking bug spray. I found small individual size bottles at Wal-Mart for less than $1 each - perfect size for fanny packs, so I bought 1 for each family member. I also found an over-the-door shoe rack with see-through pockets to hang on the bathroom door for toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc... I got that idea from these boards! I found it at Target for $7 - not a bad price to pay for organization! I also bought a car air-freshener for the rental car.
:cheer2:

Our own sheet for the Pack & Play, spray sunscreen (much quicker and neater than lotion) and lots of the things already mentioned! (got lots of new ideas!)

I forgot about my great spray sunscreen. It does wonders for the parts in your hair. You only have to apply it once and it lasts all day long to keep you from getting a very painful sunburn up there

FILM!! It is so expensive in the parks. An extra set of batteries for the camera is a good idea also.
I always pack childrens Tylenol, adult Tylenol and sinus meds. It never fails that I get a sinus infection from the plane ride and my son gets heat stroke. Medication in the parks and hotels are very expensive.
Make sur you have plenty of sun screen in all SPF's this is another area they will get you pocket book if you run out. :sunny:

Collapsible sun shade for the rental car - we always keep one in our vehicles at home, so never thought about taking it. You can imagine that the vehicles bake in the hot Florida sun. I bought an extra car-sized one for this year!

I never thought of it before I read this on the cruise thread...a nightlight. I love the Disney resorts because the rooms get so dark and it's easier for me to sleep, but if ya gotta go in the middle of the night, I sure don't like to stub my toe so I took it on the cruise and it works perfectly. I keep it in my travel bag all the time now. Matter of fact I have one bag that I keep with all of the travel needs for any trip...I've done this since my mom was ill in a hospital 2 hours away.

Ah, and suction cups for the bathroom...helps give ya an extra place to hang wet swimsuits so they dry better.

I'm sure the thread is still on the cruise board...I think it's under the ultimate packing list or something of the sort...it was about 2 or 3 pages of ideas. Great source of info!
