We are visiting Universal in Mid March just for one day. It's DH, Myself, DS11, and DD9. We went last June for the first time, and only went to IOA, with the main draw being of course Harry Potter area. Just getting on Forbidden Journey was almost a 2 hour wait, and we took our time around the rest of the area. We rode most things in IOA, except Jurassic Park, it closed due to rain and didn't reopen the rest of the day, they had issues afterwards.
So this year, I think we will start in the Universal side at Diagon Alley, and then take the train over to IOA side and do the rest of Harry Potter again (The main reason my kids want to go back). They have Jurassic Park on their must do list. After we do all of that, I'm thinking of heading back to Universal and doing what we can over there as we've never been to that park. If we only have the afternoon in that side, what are your must do's? We tend to want to do everything and I know we won't have time, so trying to come up with a plan. Any advice is appreciated! What are your family favorites??

For me, of the attractions at Universal I've done. My personal must do list at USF would be:

1) Revenge of the Mummy
2) Men in Black
3) E.T. (might not hit every ones it is for me being born in 1968 and being a child of the '80)
4) Disaster or Twister (With 1 day don't need to hit both "Old School" effects attractions)

Rides I haven't ridden yet that would probably be "must do"
1) Gringotts
2) Transformers
3) Despicable me (not sure it hit my "must do" I haven't ridden yet didn't want to wait in the line. I've ridden 2 of the previous incarnations)

Attractions I like that if I only had 1 day I'd probably skip unless they were a walk on.
1) Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket. It's a decent coaster. Being from Ohio I have world class coasters an hour an a half from home.
2) Shrek 3D

For US I would say in order:
1) Mummy - unless your kids would be skittish about a Mummy themed ride
2) Gringotts
3) MiB
4) Transformers (unless you prefer Spiderman theme, they are basically the same ride)
5) Simpsons

Personally didn't do:
Rip Ride Rocket or Despicable Me so can't comment.

1)Gringotts, 2)Transformer,3) Despicable Me and 4)Revenge of the Mummy are my tops choices for rides. If you need to eat definitely try the Simpsons area and get some Tacos from Bumblebee Man's Tacos, a donut from Lard Lad Donuts and get a Krusty Burger.
