What are your kids going to be for Halloween?

Now that my DS is 14 I'm feeling sad that the excitement of Halloween costumes is over here at our house My favorite costume I made was a mummy, DS also chose to be a vampire for 3 years in a row All I had to do was buy new fangs I would love to hear what your kids are going to be. Or if you're like me, what was your kid's favorite when they were younger.

I have an 8 year old hippie and a 4 year old sleeping beauty here!!!! We went to our first halloween dance of the season on Friday, toooo fun!!!!! Lots of GREAT costumes.

I have a 5 year old going as Emperor Zurg and a 3 year old going as Sabastian the Crab from the Little Mermaid!

now, does this make any sense? the elementary school kids in our district are not allowed to wear their costumes on Halloween or have a parade or a party at school -- though the PTA can (and does) sponsor a "Freaky Friday" event --a costume party -- the Friday night before Halloween. but the middle school kids can --- and often do-- wear their costumes to school on Halloween.

younger dd -- 5th grader -- bought a French Maid costume, but she's not sure she's going to wear it. older dd hasn't decided on whether to get dressed up or not.

as a last resort, they can always wear one of their dance recital costumes. older dd wore a recital costume last year and went as "Britney Spears."

My 5 year old is going to be Alladar(I think thats his name) from the Dinosaur movie. My 2 YO is Tigger.

We went to a "Boo At The Zoo" event yesterday and they looked so cute!

I've gpt a 3 year old Bob the Builder and a 7 year old Spiderman. We bought the costumes a couple of weeks ago, and they have changed their minds about 40 times since then.

My 4 year old will be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. My 6 year old will be a black and purple witch and my 11 year old is Punished!!!(she brought home a bad progress report in one class....she is an A/B student!!) (DH says I will lighten up and let her go out......I usually don't stick to my punishments but I am determined.....)

Today I got my DS 6 an adorable costume at TDS. He's going to be the alien from Toy Story It was 50% off today & I got my 10% DVC discount

DD 5 is either going to be a witch or cowgirl. She cannot make up her mind.

DS 16 mos. is going to be a fireman. We have a good friend who is a fireman and gave us junior badges and lots of stickers for DS's little yellow slicker.

Ds will be Ron Weasley-Harry Potter's best friend. He's
been Harry for the last 2 years and now this! We're
dyeing his hair orange, have an ugly sweater with a big
R on it and a stuffed Rat to represent Ron's pet "Scabbers".
Also, a Griffindor wizard cape and a wand that ds made
at "Harry Potter Club" at the local rec center. I am going
as Hermione and DH will be Harry this year complete with
the scar-we should be pretty funny looking!

I was so sad as the guys have been Disney characters since Day 1........Tigger, Pooh, Alladian, Sorcier Mickey, Mickey, 101 Dalmations etc.....now they are 7 and 8 and no more Disney charcters,,,,,one choose the scary scream custume and the youngest a freaky mummey. We have been to Disney for MNSSHP twice and my kids at the ripe old ages of 7 and 8 are ready to go on....Boo Hoo. Now I am thinking of putting all these old disney store costumes in the paper for $10 each. Only worn once you know! The velvet mickey red robe and hat from MGM from last year was my favorite!!!!

Oddball hasn't decided if she is going to dress this year. She is getting to old.....13!!!!!!!!
