What are your Hidden Gems?

Club Cool at Epcot. Many people don't realize you can go in and taste all the sodas for free!

Tom Sawyer Island. Not hidden, but many don't appreciate what a nice break it can be from the hustle and bustle of the park. Feels like you're in another world when you're over there. Great for a little break when the kids start to get overwhelmed.

Devine at Animal Kingdom. Just as much fun to watch everyone else's reactions! She is truly amazing!
Tom sawyer island is perfect right before it rains. Husband and I sat in the rocking chairs, while kids played checkers. Stayed dry and was some of the best family time at wdw!

Conservation Station at AK is another one similar to Tom Sawyer Island in that it's a bit of a break from the madness of the parks.

Though I think they're fairly well know but some of the acts in World Showcase are fun to watch. Server Amusent in Italy, Voice of Liberty in America, British Revolution in UK etc. Also some of the films in World Showcase (France, America and Canada) are nice and a good break from the heat/hustle and bustle of the parks.

Jammitors in Future World are fun to watch.

Riding the train in MK might not be hidden but I think it's underutilized and a great way to A. pay tribute to one of Walt's favorite hobbies and B. travel the park and enjoy the scenery. Another good "park break."

We were on the Liberty Square Riverboat during FoF last January and that was pretty neat.

Mulch, Sweat, and Shears in HS are a fun act to watch.

I feel like I could keep going all day! I love the little not so well-known things about the World!!

Not sure if you want to pay anything extra, but there are some really cool tours that are not widely publicized. DH was thrilled with the Behind the Seeds tour at EPCOT because he's an avid gardener, and my kiddos were interested because they love anything science related. (DS11 is fascinated by the fish lol). It was not all that expensive either. Maybe $20 a person I think. The Boardwalk also has a tour that's great for history buffs and I think that one is free. There's a scavenger hunt at MK I think we're going to do this year. Anyway, maybe not what you were looking for, but I thought it was worth mentioning! You can look it all up on the site under Events & Tours. :)

Collecting pressed pennies! It is so fun looking for the machines! they are hidden everywhere!
its a cheap souvenir and after the trip I put all of our pressed pennies in the shadow box with a picture from our trip.
i love to include an object from each trip in the picture frame for our different vacations.

Forgot to include Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game. My boys LOVE this game!!! And even if you don't play, the cards look great and they're FREE!!! (Not much at Disney is!)

Does anyone know if they still do the Hoe Down in Magic Kingdom?

Not hidden but a gem is AKL. I have never stayed there but twice I have been to tour, see the animals and dine. Once for breakfast at Boma with my kids, and once in the evening for dinner at Jiko with another couple. Have done the same at Poly, Wilderness Lodge and GF. So I guess touring a resort you are not staying at can be a hidden gem.

Piggybacking on the AKL comment, we loved the Culinary Tour at the AKL. Here's a review with pics (not mine, but very informative ... and recent!):

We did it several years ago and got to taste 2 soups at Boma and dips at Jiko. Free, fun, informative and delicious!
