What are your Halloween Day plans?

Carve pumpkins, watch Sweeney Todd, hand out some candy to a few family members that stop by and just hang out.

Heading off to friends house, we dont have any kids in our area.. : (. I am sad we always had a huge party in our old neighborhood with prob 200 + tricks or treaters. I didnt decorate much this year.

Made pulled pork, hot wings and cupcakes.

Princess Peach and Luigi will be on the lookout for Mario!

The one pumpkin that we carved with DS was eaten by squirrels this am on our front porch.
DS 7 is going to flip when he sees it .

I've been cleaning my kitchen and bathroom today. I finally got my daughter to lay down for a nap so she won't be a grump later.

We're heading out around 4:30 for Trunk-or-Treat. I'm excited. This is the first year DD has really cared about Halloween. Should be fun.

My 13yodd came down with the flu yesterday. So I am "nurse mom" for Halloween.

Aw, I hope your daughter feels better soon.

I remember one Halloween (seems like I start a lot of replies on the DIS with "I remember..." I must sound like I'm a thousand years old or something.)... anyway, I remember one Halloween when I was around 7 or 8 and I was sick and couldn't go trick-or-treating. Our neighbor came over to the house with her gigantic bowl of candy and told my mom to grab a handful of it to give to me. That memory has stuck with me for many, many years.:rotfl:

Awww... thanks. She was supposed go TOTing with her new friend.:guilty:

She is pretty sick and it is certainly the FLU.:sad2: Geesh. She was sporting a 103 so far and is coughing.

BTW....the pics of your grandson are so CUTE!!!!:goodvibes

We hang out Halloween evening with a few of the neighbors.

We put chairs and tables on my driveway and they all bring their bowls of candy over. Some of us decorate our yards, though not over the top.

We potluck food and set that up in my dining room.

One neighbor makes her chili, which we all love. Another is bringing mummy hotdogs and salad. I'm making corn bread, mac and cheese and maybe pumpkin muffins.

There will be a couple desserts of course, though why with all that candy...and there is always some kind of a frosty adult beveridge available.

I really need to get off the disboards and get going.......

Happy Halloween!

Sounds like fun! :goodvibes

I'm dying to know-what are mummy hot dogs?

We saw this idea in a magazine last year, don't remember which one. You wrap canned crescent rolls around hot dogs, bake them and they look like mummies. They're actually really good!
These neighbor's usually make clever name cards for their Halloween party food contribution. They are really creative. Me not so much. It was fun and everything was tasty.
