What are your go-to activities for high crowd days?

We always end up going at the most crowded times and gasp (grad nights) because that is when we have time off. We also won't wait more than 20 min in line.. I'm just not that patient. Our strategies are similar to others (see below). However, at the start of each trip, we all prioritize our top ride (or two) each. We make sure we get a FP for or do those towards the beginning of day/the trip. Don't leave your favorite things to the last day!

Tips for crowded days. Rope drop and EMH/MM hours if possible. Use FPs and if you can, send a runner to pick up while others are doing some other thing (like trying to pull sword out of stone or whatever). Eat at off times as ride lines drop during mealtimes, parades and major shows.. of course this was when Fantasmic was still playing. When crowds get really busy (around noon - 2), plan your fast loading rides / continuous loading rides or low line rides that you normally wouldn't do and shows.. carousel, treehouse, PoC (hit or miss w/line), Pooh, shooting range, main street vehicles, castle walkthrough,DCA swings, zephr, carnival games, that wilderness thing, go see shows (Tough to be a bug, Mickey and Map, Tiki Room, Golden Horseshow, etc). Stop and eat a snack (in DCA have a beer) and people watch and do your shopping. I find there is always something I haven't done yet or want to do/see again.

I think it's frustrating to try desperately to get on attractions on a very busy day. I end up feeling like I'm spinning my wheels. And, to me, what is really lost on crowded days is just enjoyment of the sheer beauty of the park.
So...i like to take some time and just go right up to the edge of Rivers of America and take in the scene. Then you're looking at a lovely view, instead of just at a bunch of people. With a cool drink in your hand, the view takes you to a different place.
Another nice spot is behind Matterhorn, where you can see IASW from that backside. There are tables and there's water, and ducks. It's lovely.

I just try to carve out spaces to make me know I'm at a theme park, not just an amusement park.
