Do you have certain things you do on your first or last day at WDW.We check in and then head for DTD Disney for some shopping then late lunch at HOB now called At The Cross Roads Now.Then back to resort for a little R&R.then off to FW for HDDR.Then back to MK for Wishes. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We check in, head to DTD for WPE and then MK for a few hours.

Last day is always MK -- mixed with some tears and depression as the day progresses. Final day, is rise eary and drive out of town.

We do to DTD for our Christmas ornament and then somewhere for a drink.

As the kid gets older, that drive seems longer and longer.

We've only been one time, last May, but we checked in, had a very late lunch/early dinner at the resort and then to DTD. We ended the night playing in the sand and watching Wishes from the Poly beach. :lovestruc

First thing we ALWAYS do is jump on the bed in excitement!!! Then chill at the pool for a few hours. Then have dinner at 1900 Park Fare then hop into MK for either fireworks or a parade. These traditions we never change! :goodvibes

Always MK first and last day. I'm not sure I'd call everything we do tradition so much as we just always do the same thing, pretty much in the same order. We always start in Adventureland and head to the tree house. We just make our way around from there. I never realized that we always do the same thing until now.

we have a nine and half hour flight from the UK and given the time difference its basically about 11pm to us...the most we are able to manage is a quick stop at DTD, grabbing something to eat at WPE then back to the room and out for the count. On the last day we also go to DTD to stock up on a sandwich or two from EOS and spend the rest of our snack credits for the flight home because the food on Virgin Atlantic is not good!!!:)

On the first day our routine is to check in at our resort and then get on the first bus to go to a park. We never know were we will end up but the fun is just being at DW. We also make dinner reservations at the resort we are staying at and after our meal we unpack and relax. We usually start that day at 3 or 4 that morning so we kind of wind down that first night.

We always stay at DTD resort the first night so that we can get full day at a park the next day. We go to DTD that night to eat and relax.

Next day (first full day) we check in to WDW resort and we always go to MK and we always eat at Ohanas that night and then go to Wishes. Last day is also always MK. :goodvibes

We have to ride " Pirates" first. I don't know how or why it became a tradition with us, but now it's become our "Yes, we ARE at Disney World!" thing to do.

And get a cream cheese pretzel. And Casye's corn dog nuggets.

These are our First Day traditions. :goodvibes

Our traditions are we get into WDW and we check in at our resort. We then go to Hollywood studios as this is always our first park. We eat at Mama Melrose this is always the first meal of the vacation and then we ride Star Tours this is always our first ride. We have not developed any last day traditions yet but I am sure we will.

For me, WDW is The Magic Kingdom, so our first day always means going to Magic Kingdom and eating dinner at The Crystal Palace.

Magic Kingdom- slow entry, appreciating the view, the wonder, the excitement yet to come...and then to the PeopleMover for our first ride. Yup, it's a slow start :lmao:. Not sure why we did it the first time, but we did, so it just became a tradition. It actually makes sense for us, since we usually arrive at MK midday, lines are long elsewhere, and it's a nice slow introduction- excitement builds while we're on the PeopleMover, then we take the park by storm! :yay: After slow start/PeopleMover: COMMANDO for the remainder of the trip!

DTD on the first night if we arrive after 2pm. Candy at Goofy's, get all our shopping out of the way (not that we buy any of it yet, but we make a list of what we think we want), pressed pennies. This year we plan to add Disney Quest to this.
Since we are park openers, but have to fly in from Houston, we don't usually go to a park on the first day.

We usually check into the resort around noon. We get settled in our room then set out to explore the resort and have lunch. Perhaps then a swim. We make our way to the CR for dinner at the Contempo Cafe where we watch the monorail come and go. Then we board the monorail for a few laps around the circuit. We then make our way to the bus stop for a ride back to our resort. We get a good night's sleep and come out swinging in the morning for a full day at MK.

We get down late and check into a cheapo motel. Wake up the next morning and check into our DVC hotel. We used to go to Trail's End for breakfast/lunch as our first meal but they stopped doing the lunch buffet. Then it's head off to whatever park we want to see first!!

Last day we go to 50's Prime Time for our favorite meal of the trip, ride TOT a few times and hit DTD before we drive home. I can't WAIT for our next trip!

Our last morning is spent at DTD. We shop for the last few souvenirs that we might've missed during the week. Don't understand it, but I fell in love with WDW's rice krispy treats during the last trip & bought several to bring home. I love snapping pictures while the area is quiet with lighter crowds than later in the day. We just kinda breathe it all in, get nostalgic about it, then hit the highway heading north. :drive:
