Hi,

We are going to WDW in July and we are planning to do one character breakfast an one character dinner in the time we are there.
We have already been to the character breakfast-Donalds restaurantasaurus(not sure if thats the exact name!:Pinkbounc ) and we have also been to the Sci-Fi Dine in restaurant. We would like to try some new places this time so we would be grateful for your recommendations. Thankyou......::MinnieMo

My favs are O'hana, yummy preset menu of meats that are tasty with some awsome sides. Some people do not care for it but it seems the majority do. Love LeCellier in Canada....again excellent food. Boma at AKL is a great place to try a varied buffet that has some African influences...........besides that deserts are to die for. Really loved California Grill at the Contemporary.

There is some of my personal favs.

We like breakfast at CRT for the princess breakfast. Other places we like are Rose and Crown (England in Epcot), Coral Reef, Boma. Also this next time we go we are going to try the 1900 Park Fare Dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Try Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki in Japan in Epcot. It is such good food. MmMmMm... I would try it

We love Chef Mickeys character breakast.
For dinner we really enjoy both the Kona Cafe and Ohana, both at the Poly. Kona is just a regular restaurant, Ohana is family style, set menu, with coconut races and hula hoop contests for the kids. For another "fun type" meal, but a dinner show, the Hoop Dee Doo Revue is lots of fun!

For breakfast I love Crystal Palace. 1900 Park Fare is also a good one.

For dinner Le Cellier, Les Chefs de France, Cape May Cafe, Garden Grill, 50's Primetime Cafe and 1900 Park Fare are all very good.

Have fun deciding!!

Oops, I just reread your post and you were looking for character dinners.

So of the ones I mentioned, 1900 Park Fare and Garden Grill are character dinners.;)

Breakfast:

Crystal Palace - can't be beat
Chef Mickey's

Lunch/Dinner:
Rainforest Cafe
50's Prime Time Cafe
Yachtsman Steakhouse

Prime Time Cafe (MGM),the Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Rooms(Japan,Epcot),and the Grand Floridian cafe are my favorites.:D

As for ones we enjoyed - Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot, Chef Mickey's (we did dinner) a fun, but noisy meal with good character interactions, Crystal Palace (we've done lunch) we liked the food and had great service every time we've been.

For the non-character meals we love LeCellier at Epcot, Prime Time Cafe at MGM, Boma for dinner, Rose and Crown at Epcot for dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern at lunch and Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge for dinner in a fun and wild place.

We are going to try a few places this trip based upon the rave reviews I keep reading here on the Disboards - Liberty Tree Tavern for their character dinner (we love the lunch here, and are looking forward to the dinner), Ohana's (seems to consistently get good reviews and offers a fun atmosphere), Hoop Dee Doo Revue (gets very good reviews and the dinner show sounds like a must try) and both Boma and Trail's End for breakfast (sounds like the first will be a great way to start the day, and the second is the best buy I've seen for breakfast on property!).

1. Cindy's (lunch or dinner)
2. Crystal Palace (all meals are characters)
3. Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner is a character meal)

Resorts:

2. Whispering Canyon Cafe
3. O'Hana's
4. Yachtsman Steakhouse

Wow, so many overwhelming replies!
Thanks for all your help.

I think we will probably go for Chef Mickeys for breakfast and 50's Primetime or Crystal Palace for dinner!!!

Thanks again
:bounce:

DW and I must be the only ones that didn't like Le Cellier. We think there are better steaks on property. Though they had a tuna tartare appetizer at the time that was awesome.

As for dinner favorites, I think we'll always have a hard time deciding between Jiko and California Grill. The food is creative, the staff efficient and friendly, and all of them seem to be skilled at food and wine pairing. Artist's Point is a very close second. There is nothing like the ambience there.

Breakfast hands down is Kona Cafe. Try the Tonga Toast with a Kona press pot. I'm whimpering just thinking about it.

Our only character meals have been at Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. Chef Mickey's is more fun. The food at both is average at best. Though the mashed potatoes at Chef Mickey's are terrific!
