Thinking of your DVC resorts, what are your favorite design aspects of your favorite DVC resort rooms?

I love the master bath decor at OKW. I love the shabby chic wall design in there, and love the "Florida" colors. I used to like the pastel floor cloths in the GVs, but those were changed to dark green area rugs that, in my opinion, don't go with the rest of the decor. I also really like the crown mouldings at OKW and the HUGE balcony where we actually eat most of our breakfasts.

At SSR, I really love the granite counters and the upscale decor, but hate the small balcony and door arrangement in the bath/hall area.

This is not in the room itself, but I love the carpet and the wallpaper in the BWV. As soon as I see that picket fence wall paper, I know I am home. :flower:

That qualifies, because it is in your hallway.

I love the way the toilet cubicle is separate from the rest of the bathroom in the one bedroom at SSR. It means someone can shower while someone else is 'busy'. I loved the bathrooms at OKW and VWL too, very well equipped and spacious but the separate toilet at SSR saves time in the morning.

I did love the enormous one bed villa we had at OKW. It really felt like home for the 16 nights we were there. Lots of storage space meant there was less clutter. I loved the laundry room. You can actually store your laundry and cases in there instead of cluttering up the bedroom.

However, so far I never met a DVC one bedroom I didn't like!

I love the paint colors on the walls at beach club villas. Wish I could match it for my bathroom upstairs.

I love the colors of the BWV villas. The blues and whites, the patchwork quilt look of the king bedspread, the wicker chairs, the painted tiles in the kitchen area. It is all so light and airy and so much like an old fashioned beach resort. All that is missing is the sound and smell of the ocean.
I like the studio set up with a bed and sleeper sofa. We like the 1 & 2 br design and set up, and we love the GV. We love the views from the balconies especially the boardwalk view villas.
The Little Mermaid designs on the curtains and bedspreads in the BC villas, we also like.

I won't get to visit HHI until May 2006, but based on the photos, I love how warm and cozy the rooms there look. My visit will be just before the start of the summer season, but I could imagine it being very nice to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas in one of those rooms.

I to love the rooms at HHI , like a fishing camp, fishing poles and baskets on the wall, great colors and the most beautiful decks with the moss covered trees. SSR because it still looks brand new.

I like the "Florida" feel of the OKW villas, but I get a real kick out of the little "footprints in the sand" in the BWV hallway carpeting. The picket fence/grass walls blending into the "beachy" carpet is a super neat touch.

I love the tile work in the kitchen and bath at VWL. The deep red and hunter green colors mixed with the cream are gorgeous and the embossing with pine trees and moose are wonderful.

I think Shadow's paw prints in the tile at HH are such a typical Disney touch ...also the Mickey loves Minnie heart and arrow carved into the bench in the HH villas . I guess these things are still there...last trip was two years ago.

I love the decor of the BCV. The colors, the lamps, granite counters, design of the kitchen table. Also like the batthroom setup including the pretty master sink. Don't like the closet door that opens inward. Love the pretty public rooms. And adore having a desk in the bedroom.

We haven't stayed at BWV but I think I would love the colors there. I do like where the connecting door is in BCV better though having had connecting doors in the living room of accessible 2BRs at BCV.

Absolutely love the porches at OKW. It is great to have a light and a fan on switches. And of course the size is fantastic. But we also like the long porches on some of the rooms at BCV.

I love the kitchen at OKW although I really don't need all that room. But it is still nice. Like the general setup of the LR at OKW too. Also love the laundry room.

Oh, I forgot to mention the picture in the MBR at BCV. It is of two young girls on a beach. It is a lovely pastel on its own but for me it is so evocative. We have a picture of my sister and I with the same style and color of swimming suits, same styles and color of hair taken at about the same age as the girls depicted in the painting. So it always brings back memories for me even though we were at a WI lake rather than the NJ shore. :sunny:

Difficult to decide - i love the theming of OKW rooms because it feels so tropical and relaxing - i also love the mismatched theming of WL. Haven't been to HHI yet but seen the pics and want to go because the rooms look so rustic in the pics.

And SSR room theming looks v posh on the photos and I'm sure i will like it - will find out in a few days time.

Hmmm....there is so much to love!!

At BWV, I love the HUGE master closet!! I also get a kick out of the footprints in the sand.

At BCV, I love the granite counters, the table with the bench seat, the hidden mickeys in the carpet, and the characters in the bedspreads (Ariel and Triton in the studios, and Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy building sandcastles in the 1 bdrms).

I love the colors at VWL...I love the leaves cut into the doors by the washer...I love the pinecones all over. I love the hidden Mickeys on the bedspread. I love the pinecones and pine on the carpet...the wood...just everything. If I could redo it in our family room at home, I'd do my best. I just love VWL.

I also love the shabby chic of OKW. The picket fences with the Mickey icon charm me every time. And there is something about the artwork at BC and BCV that says home.

Most of all, I love the layout that says "DVC". We have stayed at many 2-3 br villas/condos in Orlando through II before we bought into DVC and they were all great, but the layout that is so familiar to us now just feels right.
