We are trying to plan our trip to Disney World next June and are trying to pick restaurants. We would like to do one sit down with reservations at each park.. possibly. Maybe not.. I would like to know what your favorite restaurants at each park are and why? This will be for our disneymoon and neither of us know a whole lot about the restaurants. Also, are there any good restaurants you would recommend at downtown disney or at the resorts? We may decide against one at a park for one of those. So, basically I'm looking for advice and would love to hear your ideas and thoughts on the different restaurants at Disney... what you would recommend.. and why. We would like at least a couple kinda romantic ones too. But we are up for any ideas!!

Thanks so much for your help!!

Studios - 50's Prime Time Cafe and Brown Derby
EPCOT - Rose and Crown Pub, Biergarten, Chefs de France, and Tutto Italia

To be honest, the best TS meals are outside the parks. I don't feel there is anything too exceptional in the MK or AK. We do like to take the grandkids to CRT for breakfast. The TS are at the resorts.

At the Resorts Try:
California Grill
Artist Point
Flying Fish Cafe
Narcoossee's
Jiko
Boma
Citricos
Ohana
.....

I could go on and on listing good restaurants at the resorts. Ragland Road and Portobello at DD are great too.

You are so right......The only restaurant that we like in all of the parks is just one and that is in Epcot. We love going to Akershus (Norway) for breakfast. That is our favorite Princess breakfast. Other than that, we like to try out the different countries each time we go (In December it will be Le Cellier and in March it was Rose and Crown). DHS, MK, or AK just doesn't do it for us for TS meals....now if you want to talk Resort restaurants....well, then that is a different story. Here is a list of our top favorite Resort Restaurants:

- Callifornia Grill at CR--Absolute #1 favorite restaurant in all of WDW
- Cape May Cafe Breakfast at BC --#1 favorite character meal
- Kona Cafe at Poly -- Just plain good
- Artist Point at WL -- Great atmosphere and the food/dessert is fabulous

And for DTD, we don't really care for any of the TS places there....we mainly go there to shop and have a nice ice cream sundae at Ghiredelli.

Ok... after 34 trips to the World here are my favs!

Magic Kingdom:
Crystal Palace (dinner)

EPCOT:
Chefs de France

Hollywood Studios:
50's Prime Time Cafe

Animal Kingdom
Pizzafari (I know its not a TS but we love it!)

Resorts:
Chef Mickeys
O'hana
The Wave
1900 Park Fare
Hoop Dee Doo

And sadly missing the Concourse Steakhouse. :guilty:

MK- Castle definatley on a Disneymoon but if nit then Tony's.
Both have good food.
DHS- Prime Time Cafe- Good Food & Fun
Epcot-
Tutto- great food
Teppen Edo- good food & fun
France- Good food
Coral Reef- Good food and an awesome Aquarium
AK- Y & Y - it's good just not for me or RFC

Have a Magical Disneymoon :thumbsup2

MK - Crystal Palace brkfst, CRT would be nice for disneymoon

Epcot - Coral Reef

DHS - 50's PTC

AK - :confused3 don't have one

Poly - love Ohana brkfst & dinner

Parks:

MK - nothing, we have tried all, but not too impressed with any of them, although CRT is a good experience, we just did not like the food, we usually go to Ohana

EP - based on food - Teppan Edo, Nine Dragons, Le Cellier
based on experience - Akershus (for the princesses), Coral Reef

AK - Yak and Yeti - we like the food

HS - Mama Melrose - the food is fine, we do not like the other ones

Resorts: based on food

Polynesian - Ohana
Contemporary - The Wave
Coronado - Maya Grill (first time the food was great, but has been getting worse as time went on)

DTD - T-rex - food is good and fun atmosphere

A few years ago, my list of favourites were very long...as time went on, it shortened. I used to like WCC, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Boma, Cape May Cafe, Spoodles (although, no longer avail), Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe, Chef Mickey, Chefs de France, Tonys Town Square, etc. I find that the last few times we went there, the food was not that good. :guilty:

Favorite restaurants at each park...Here's what we like:

MK: Tony's
AK: Yak & Yeti
DHS: Mama Melrose
Epcot: Le Cellier

I agree that the best TS restaurants are not at the parks. I like Tony's (for lunch), Crystal Palace, Plaza, and LTT (for lunch) at MK but I wouldn't say any of them are fantastic (I've never been a fan of CRT). Epcot has some pretty good TS restaurants. Ok, here's my picks:

Epcot:
This is a toss up between Tutto Italia (expensive but very romantic, I especially love the tables outside if the weather's nice) and Chefs de France. I love the food and atmosphere of both.

DHS:
I think everyone should try Sci-Fi (for lunch) at least once. It's a fun, romantic atmosphere (IMHO anyways). Other than that, not a huge fan of any of the other restaurants here.

AK:
I'd rather leave here and go to Jiko at AKL. It is definitely on my Top 5 restaurants at WDW list. Amazing. Some people like Boma, I don't.

MK:
If I HAD to pick one it would be the Plaza. It has a more romantic (i.e. quieter) atmosphere than Crystal Palace, CRT, and LTT. Tony's is good too but I had a not so great experience there last trip (for dinner, we've always done lunch before which is great!) that's left a bad taste in my mouth.

DTD:
I know you asked for TS but my hands down favorite restaurant is Wolf Gang Puck Express. It's kind of tucked away in DTD so eating outside is always enjoyable (it's covered and they have ceiling fans, although if it's too hot they do have lots of indoor eating space). They have really good food and even though you order it up front you basically have a server the rest of the time (which I find nice that you're not waiting around for the server to take your order, you order when you're ready!).

Resorts:
Like I said before I love Jiko. California Grill at the Contemporary is really nice as well as 'Ohana at the Poly (which can be very romantic if you request a seat off to the side when you get there so you're not in the middle of all of the "action").

We loved the following places to eat

DHS 50's prime time

Cali Grill @ the comtempary was a beautiful meal - book so you can see the fire works

Kona @ Poly was also gret - had breakfast & lunch here. Lovely atmosphere

Epcot we loved Teppen Edo really run place to eat

Coral reef - this is a beautiful place to eat surrounded by all the fish etc - try for a table on the bottom level by the tank

Boma @ AKL We had a really lovely meal here as well

Have a great time.

liberty tree tavern............mamma melrose.................le cellier..........no AK ones.................boatwrights.................hoop de doo...............honorable mention to............sci fi.

  1. Raglan Road - Best finger-licking meal
  2. Chefs De France - Best Beef dish
  3. Boma - Best Soup / Best Salad / Best Pork Dish
  4. California Grille - Best Bread / Best Dessert
  5. Akershus Norway - Best Kid's Pizza

For a Honeymoon:

MK: CRT Dinner

DHS: Brown Derby lunch or dinner AVOID the Sci Fi: you will be placed in the back of another family's car as "hitchhikers", not my idea of a dream date

AK: I would recommend going to the AKL for Boma or Jiko

Epcot: sooo many good choices here Chefs de France, Tutto, Coral Reef, Le Cellier, San Angel are some good choices, the Bistro upstairs at Chef's De France is the best, but it's also the most pricey

Resorts:
California Grill at the CR (not the most romantic spot in the world but the view is incredible and so is the sushi)
Citricos at the GF
Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yachtclub

The best restaurant at WDW and the most romantic is Victoria & Alberts at the GF very $$$$ pricey, but def worth it.

Thanks for all of the answers!! It has been very helpful to us to read through these. I do have a question about the coral reef. It sounds like it would be beautiful and fun... and my fiance loves sea food and pointed it out. Although I hate sea food... do they serve things that are good besides sea food? I would like to go for him.

Also.. I think we have it down to just the Coral Reef at Epcot and then we are trying to choose between 50s prime time and mama melroses at Hollywood Studios. I went to 50s prime time last time I was there. But my fiance has never been there and I thought it was a blast and the food was awesome. But I can't decide if I want to try something different. For the other two I think we are going to try to pick a couple at the resorts... but not so sure about those yet...

Mama Melrose has a very romantic atmosphere, and the hazelnut cheesecake is amazing! Book it with the Fantasmic package if you can for priority seating at Fantasmic.

Crystal Palace @ the Magic Kingdom was one of my favorite meals last trip. They have such a great variety, but they are a buffet, so that may take away from the romantic mood.

I agree with previous posts - not any outstanding TS restaurants at Animal Kingdom. Maybe have that night be one of your resort dinners?

Congratulations & enjoy your trip!

Also worthy of mention are the restaurants in Morrocco at Epcot, Marrakesh and Tangierine cafe. Pretty tasty food and Tangierine in particular is a great value.

MK- CRT - eating in the castle is a good memory
CP - great selection of food
Epcot - Chefs De France - we had a great service and yummy food
Bistro De Paris - my husband and I ate here before we had a child
and the food was really good and a very romatic place b/c it was
quiet.
DHS - Brown Derby - we enjoyed the meals we had here and sitting in the booth was great and getting a phone from Goofy was awesome to wish my son happy birthday.

Resorts:
Narcoossee's - great food and great place to see fireworks while having dinner.
Citricos - great food and quieter than Narcoosee's
Flying Fish
Jiko
