what are your favorite offsite restaurants?

Bahama Breeze (there are three in the area)
Celebration Town Tavern
Raglan Road (Pleasure Island part of Downtown Disney)
Big River Grille & Brewing Company at BoardWalk

Dick Taylor

We go to Orlando Ale house almost every trip - also known as Millers ale house
Reasonable, good pub food
Great luncheon and dinner specials
There's one right outsided DTD and another newer on 192

Flippers...great pasta, pizza, breadsticks, wings...AND they deliver! In a typical week, we eat from there at least 3 nights :cool1:.

We love Cracker Barrel (we have nothing like it in Australia). My teenage DD and DH love Chilli's and we love iHop too. That's one of the novelties of travelling to the USA is the amount of nice restaurants to choose from.

I like maggianos on I drive but that's a chain too. Not the best Italian food ever but nice atmosphere.

I second the recommendation for Miller's Ale House, yummy food, large portions with good prices. And not around us, so a nice treat for us.

I really, really like Kobe. The closest location to Disney is on Palm Parkway, but there are several locations around Orlando and one or two locations on I-drive. Awesome hibachi! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

At the crossroads shopping center, a good value and healthy.

I cast another vote for Sweet Tomatoes. I always go to the Crossroads location, as in the pp's photograph, but there is a newer one on Rolling Oaks Blvd.., near FL 429 and U.S. 192. If you are staying near the Maingate West area, it's worth checking out.

That is really good to know! We're staying in nearby Rolling Hills subdivision and I love Sweet Tomatoes. Make sure to join their Club Veg to get coupons emailed to you. You don't even need to print it out, just show the cashier the coupon on your smart phone.

I dont have any particular favorites, but the Dr Phillips area and Pointe Orlando areas offer a variety of finer dining restaurants. Although many are chains, they are a little more upscale

Las Palmas. Across from Gatorland. We never had South American food before and now when we go to Diz we eat here almost every night. The papa rellennas and skirt steak are to die for. Affordable and so many great tastes at once.

Charley's Steakhouse. Best Steak. Period.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango is a blast.

Sol Azteca on OBT is the only good Mexican restaurant n central Florida.
