What are your favorite names?

We're naming our son, who should arrive in 10 more weeks :), Colin Davis.

As for girls, we liked Hannah and Olivia.

boys:
Michael
Matthew
Evan
Connor
of course these are the names of my boys.

Girls:
Kristen
Kamryn
Nicole
Ashley

I like traditional names and new ones as well.

My godson is a Colin--- I love that name!!!

I like short boys names...

Like Drew, short for Andrew, etc.......
Love DH's name...Peter

But I love long girly names you can give "boyish" nicknames....

Josephine - Joey --- or Jo (I just LOVE Little Women!)
Georgiana - Georgie

Also love Lindsay for a Girl!

Found a way to use up names you dont prefer....DH and I had a debate years ago about the name Samuel...dont like it with our last name....he LOVES it....fixed that!! Our dog is now named Sam!!!!

No kids yet, but I can tell you there wont be a Sam! (although the kid across the street is the cutest little Sam!!)

My boys names are: Jordan Lawrence (12) and Connor Aaron (18 months). Our first choices for girl names are Isabella Jane (Belle) and Gwynneth Marie (Gwynn), but I think we're destined/doomed for all boys :( . Problem is, we can't come up with any more boy names we both like. The next boy's middle name will be Edward (all the kid's middle names are family member's first names), but we can't agree on a first name that a) fits with Edward, b) we both like, and c) we can get past the grandparents. I like Duncan, and Seamus, but DW doesn't like either.

I like many names:

For girls:
Ashley
Lindsey
Rebecca
Danielle
Sarah
Kendra
Erica

For boys:
John
Eric/Erik
Colin
Jason
Logan

I like Jordan for a boy or girl and Breckan is a real pretty name and a new one for me.

My grandsons names are Tyler & Dylan
Granddaughers (twins) Madison Marie & Abby Gail (not Abigail)

Someday our little boy will be Tyler Joseph.

Now for girls, who knows...

Olivia
Madison
Abby
Ashley

In that order I think. The middle name is the hard part for us. My mom would love it if I used the middle name "Sue" (it's hers and mine) but I don't really think any of those sound great with Sue. We have time to figure it out though - we need a baby before we need to choose a name. :teeth:

Aisling--everything I have read and a friend of a friend who is Irish confirm that it is pronounced

Ash-ling or Ash-leen depending on the accent and dialect.

I just LOVE IT.

I like my DD's names Ashley Jordan, and Rachel Leigh. I always said if I had a 2nd daughter she would be Katie Elizabeth. Well, I shouldn't have told my sister-in-law because a yr. before Rachel was born my sister-in-law had a baby girl and named her Katelyn Elizabeth. Oh well. I also like the name Nicole. We have a niece named Nicole, that's what happens in big families:D I always liked Matthew and Brad for boy's.

I like my kids' names

Stephanie Jennifer
Eric Andrew
Julianne Elyse

but my new favorite name for a girl is Brette. My youngest daughter's best friend is named this and she is the cutest little blue-eyed blond with a little bob haircut. The name just fits her perfectly. I also like Brett for a boy.

My first name is Georgette. My moms family calls me Gette (pronounced Jet). My friends in school called me George and my friends at work called me Georgie Girl. My in-laws call me Georgetti. My DH calls me Georgie sometimes.
:D

Obviously I love DS's name, Nathan Alexander, but while coming up with his name I found lots of others that I really like as well. I think I need to have more kids just so I can use up all of these names! ;)

Boys:

Nicholas (probably will win if we have another boy - Nathan and Nick :teeth: )
Ryan (we debated on this one for DS for quite a while)
Andrew
Bradley
Matthew
Justin
Joshua
Jacob
Zachary

Girls:

Kimberlee Grace (if DS was a girl this would have been his name)
Elizabeth Nicole
Olivia
Emma
Abigail
Paige
Sarah
Anne

How about Susan or Suzanne as a middle name.

No, it has to be Sue, otherwise we would just pick a different middle name. There isn't really any meaning to the name Sue (it's not after a grandma or anything). It's just a middle name my mom and I share. Olivia Sue isn't horrible - but it's not the greatest. I guess I've never asked my mom how dissapointed she would be if we didn't do the Sue thing. Like I said, I have time to think about it.

It is tough trying to reach an agreement with your spouse! I wanted to name our first DD Jocelyn or Miranda. DH liked Kaitlyn and Chelsea. We agreed on Chelsea Lace, but then Clinton was elected and conservative hubby really dislikes him LOL. The second time I got my first choice Chloe Camille. Next came our son Grant Russell. Our 4th was supposed to be a brother for Grant. We named her Chandler Grace, which everyone thinks is a boys name because of friends. We don't even watch friends, but the name fits our beautiful little one perfectly! I like unusual but not weird names. Chelsea is a little too popular for me. I also don't like names like mine with multiple spellings, I am Lacee, also spelled Lacy, Lacey, Lacie, or Laci. This is way too confusing to people! Megan has a similar problem. If I had another boy (we are DONE!) he would be Chase Gregory. Just named our new puppy Jackson, I call him Jax which I LOVE!! Also remember how the name sounds with your last name and how looooong it will be for the kid to learn how to write. Chandler is doing great with hers, but her class has Mac, Max, Kat, Ryan, you get the picture. Oh well, at least she is good at writing lots of letters!!!! Whichever name you pick just really seems to "fit" the baby real soon though.

I like our children's names too. :)

DD is Lauren Taylor. Struggled with her first name for months. We couldn't decide until we went to a local well know steakhouse called Bogart's. The inside is painted in beautiful mural's of scenes from Casablanca, hence many pictures of Lauren Becall.

DS is Hunter Samuel. I've always liked the name Hunter for a boy, but not for a girl as many others like. And Samuel is the name of one of my DH's uncles.

Other names I've liked:

Boys:
Jackson
Greyson
Harley
Spencer

Girls:
Isabella
Maddie

Girls: Emily, Cheyenne, Sarah, Michaela
Boys: Nicholas, Dakota, Cody

Since I'm Filipino, I prefer more Spanish-type names... I mean, my whole name is Maria Socorro Victoria Garcia del Rosario  Quite a mouthful eh?

Girls:
Kara Antonia (pronouced an-to-NEE-a)
Katrina Isabela
Sophia Carmela

Boys:
Joaquin Jose
Carlos Miguel
Ignacio Javier
