Just wondering if there is something that you normally do or purchase at WDW for that you would never do in the real world.

Mine is purses. I hate to spend money on them normally, but last trip bought a Dooney and am already looking at the new Dooney's or maybe a Vera Bradley.

Thankfully everything at WDW is sprinkled with a Pixie Dust so that I don't notice the price tag! ;)

So what's your splurge?

I have two Dooney's and one Vera! I can't wait to get another Vera. And a cruise line Dooney!

It's so bad but the actual trip is our splurge. We live in Central Maryland and my parents have a cabin in the moutains on a lake 3 hours to the west of us. My IL's have a beach house 3 hours to the east of us. We are very lucky that we don't usually spend much more than gas money to go on vacation. I save a lot so when we get to Disney we spend freely.

Disney Plushes! I love to collect them. Thats usually the one thing I go crazy for in the parks.

I am pretty frugal in my everyday life, but when it comes to Disney, I don't hold back too much! Last year we went at Christmas and I think we came out with 6 Christmas tree ornaments (and they were not cheap!) I also can't resist the Disney candy. I'm an 8 year old in a 28 year old's body. Haha.

I can't be the only one who finds they drop the most money on food. I mean, sure, it's a necessity. But I don't NEED to spend 5 dollars on a cupcake, or 10 on a caramel apple dressed up as Mickey. I sure as heck will, though!

As for the more material things, jewelry and plushies get me every time.

When we go to disney it love their topsy turvey dolls. Last time we went I got the Ariel/aurora one. I am hoping the next time I go they will have the Anna/Elsa one, but that's very unlikely. The last time we were there the guy at the store in the contemporary said they got them in for literally 2 hours and then they sold out :(

We bought a topsy-turvy Anna/Elsa plush a few weeks ago in HS and they had a lot of them. My DD loves it!

Each trip to Disney I've splurged on DB bags or pearl Mickey icon jewelry. I went in the spring wanting a Vera bag but they were sold out :(

I have a small (VERY small) Jim Shore Disney collection. When I go, I might look for another one to put in our house to remind us of our first WDW vacation. Right now I have a Jim Shore Mickey and Minnie kissing on a shelf above my kitchen sink, a Jim Shore Mickey Christmas tree, and a Jim Shore Jack Skellington I put out at Halloween. (Jack is one of Squeaker's favorites.)

I might get one of the Jim Shore Princesses when we go, as I think Squeaks wants to do a lot of Princess meet & greets.

Pretty much everything is a splurge on vacation (that's how we do!)
I'm talking to you, $64 steak, Le Cellier, and $11 Rum and Cokes at my hotel bar, and you too, $36 Boma Buffet Dinner.

My mother has to get her Mickey Ears ice cream. Haha I always get a few pins for my pin board. I have gotten at least one every trip, with years to remember. Plus I enjoy getting some packs to trade. Thats always fun too. With new Vera patterns I may get myself one. And next month ill prob splurge a lil more since I'm going with my fiancé and it's his first time.. 8 days, 5 ADR with QSDD I think I'm crazy :)

Our big splurge is always something for everyone... the wishes dessert party, a fireworks cruise, etc. This past August we splurged on a Polar Patio at Blizzard beach. It was SOOOOOO worth it! So much so that two days later DH offered the kids a choice of going to our scheduled character meal later in the week, or getting a Beachcomber Shack for our Typhoon Lagoon day. They unanimously chose the Shack and we happily skipped CM.

:rotfl:

Mickey pendants, those birthday ones, I'd never usually pay almost US$30 for that quality, but... they are just so cute, I always wear one!
