I've read post on type of sandals most use at WDW (crocs, tevas etc), but what are the little kids wearing? My dd (7) has regular everyday sandals, flip flops that she wears but I worry that w/ all walking we'll be doing her feet will start to hurt or get blisters. Although she is slim, she unfortunately took after her mother and has wide, flat feet :goodvibes

So what are your children wearing on their feet? What type/name of sandals, sneakers would you suggest for dd

Myself I'm bidding on a pair of crocs flip flops as we speak and I'll probably pick up walking sneakers (not sure which - - any suggestions?)

I bought my DD Lands End action sandles. I've had her wear them in. They are super comfy..per her, and they have caused no problems thus far. Going to be trying them out next week on our vacation! :thumbsup2

Add another happy child in Lands End sandals! That's what my DS has worn the last few theme park trips. But now he has Crocs and I seriously doubt he'll wear anything else. He LOVES them!

I only let my DD 8 wear tennis shoes to the parks. Actually, the whole family only wears sneakers. With so much walking that's the only thing that works for us.

My 9 yo son, 5 yo granddaughter and 2 yo grandson will all be wearing Crocs and sneakers on our upcoming trip.:thumbsup2

We only wear tennis shoes to the parks. When we took my son at almost 3 years old, we took him 2 pairs of tennis shoes and changed them 1/2 way through the day. There is just something about changing shoes (even if they are still tennis shoes) that makes my feet feel better!

 Well, I am one of those people who said, "oh my gosh, why would someone pay $30 for sandals made of foam...that's ridiculous!" Well, last year my mom wanted Crocs for her birthday, so sweet daughter that I am, I got her a pair. I decided to check 'em out myself.

Not so bad, I thought. Then I started borrowing them! :bitelip: Long story short, I have a pair I bought 4 days ago(love em!!) and I have a bag outside with a pair for my dd's birthday and a pair for my other daughter. I got one pair of regular ones and my dd9 thought the new ones with the thong were more comfy for her. So we will be breaking them in for the next month. Now I just need a pair for my ds 3 1/2. I don't know if he'll keep them on.....

I bought my air walkers earlier this year. Ugliest things they'd ever seen according to family! Well DD's friend bought a pair and guess who tried them on and says "we're all getting them" they are so comfy. But I will take sneakers for A.k at least and sandals to switch off if I want to.

I bought DS & DD Lands End action sandals and bought myself the Landsend sport thong. Also bought the kids Nike Water sandals. They're all perfect. We've tested them at Disneyland, so we think we'll be ok at WDW.

My son has extra wide feet. He will be wearing sneakers from Stride Rite. Since his feet are so wide, that is the only place I have bought his shoes from. This past weekend, we got him another pair so we will have two pairs for the park. He also has sandals from their to wear to the water parks and pool.

I did try a pair Crocs on him the other day at Nordstroms b/c everyone is talking about them, I wanted to see what they are all about. It didn't look like he was walking right in them. He is 2 1/2. He loved him on his feet though. He had a huge grin on his face.

After that I went to the womens shoes to try them on myself. Maybe you need to get use to them, but the footbed seemed really wide. Also if you are there in the summer time, don't your feet sweat? It just didn't seem like they would be very comfortable. But I have to be wrong, so many people like them.

My 3 will be in Crocs and LE Sport Sandals! :thumbsup2

You should try the kid crocs, my son has been wearing them since we was barely two and he loves them, he will be 3 in Oct., and we have no problems with him keeping them on his feet with the heel straps. They are great for him, and he loves that he can put them on and off by himself. Some type of croc is the only shoe he has been wearing since Fall '05, with a few exceptions, and it does not look like he plans to change his mind soon. We are on is 3rd pair.

Crocs are the best! My DS(8) and DD(5) wore them the entire trip and never complained once about their feet hurting! :cool1:

My kids (10 & 8) will be alternating between Crocs and Tevas.

Crocs and sneakers, depending on the parks being visited. If they are going to get wet, they will wear their crocs. The same goes for Mom and Dad.

My 10 year old will probably bring her teva sandals and her teva flip flops and leave her crocs at home. She has finally admitted that her crocs make her feet sweat! Not good when going in August. She 'may' also bring her sneakers but not sure yet.

My almost 7 year old will probably just bring her sneakers and her stride rite sandals.

For kids who are wearing crocs - are majority wearing regular ones (forget what they are called) or flip flop (athens) ? Is one style better than the other?
I see on Land's End website, they have action sandals and action flip flops on sale for $12
I guess I'll head to the store tonite to see If can have dd look at and try a pair of crocs first. Besides Nordstroms where are Crocs sold? (a store where they would have both croc styles to try)

Thanks

DD3 and 5 wore flip flops, payless version of crocs, and sneakers. They complained of hot feet the days they wore sneakers. They preferred the "crocs" they still do. I am even thinking of sprlunging on the real thing, especially when the Disney ones come out. DD15 is mortified by them.
