What are your Breakfast In-Hotel-Room Ideas

We will eat bagels (un-toasted) with cream cheese. The kids like the mini blueberry ones. I have also made banana bread and muffins and brought them with us. We have done cereal but usually the other things are prefered.

We also always have bananas, apples, etc and this is what we usually eat while we're walking to the bus stop.

Honestly, DH would probably just eat cheese (we go through pounds of it at a time). He doesn't really eat breakfast, so he'll eat some of the snacks we bring in our park bag and/or we'll just stop for lunch at 11:00.

We are not really cereal people, so we do yogurt, boiled eggs, a pastry and fruit. I need my protein as a nursing mom. Last time we stayed offsite and had a full kitchen so we fixed taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches each morning, which is a fattening treat. :P

I am not a nursing mom and I have to have protein. All those muffins and bagels and cinnamon buns, even cereal leaves me with the shakes about 2 hours later and starving 30 minutes later. It is starting to do my kids like that also. I eat either an egg, protein bar or protein drink. I just can't do that other stuff.

Last year we had our first road trip vacation (to Disneyland, Disney World requires flying :thumbsup2)

Since we drove, I could bring a cooler so I brought hard boiled eggs and cream cheese in that. I then also brought bagels for me and cereal for my daughter - I let her pick a sugary one that she isn't normally allowed so it was a huge "treat" - along with a couple of the boxes of shelf-stable milk that doesn't have to be refridgerated until it is open. We had a fridge in the hotel room where we stayed, so it all worked out great. I also brought some of those bags of cut up apples - also a treat because Evil Mom usually makes DD10 just eat a whole apple the old fashioned way!

I also brought PopTarts and cereal bars, but we eat those as snacks on vacation as another treat :rotfl:

Same here. There is nothing wrong with a turkey sandwich for breakfast or an English muffin spread with Laughing Cow cheese and a slice of ham.

Cereal or bagels.
I bring a toaster with me or you can use the one at the food court. Did that one time and I was in the building farthest away from the food court. So, I ate breakfast while waiting for the bus to come each morning. Now, I bring the toaster, just make sure to unplug it when you are done.

Since you are driving maybe you could bring a toaster with you. That way you can make toast, waffles, bagels, toaster pasteries, toaster scrambles. Pick up some eggs that are already boiled, some fruit, donuts.

You are not supposed to bring any cooking appliances with you to WDW. They do provide toasters at the food court for everyone to use, so if you have to have toast or pop tarts, that is the way to go. :thumbsup2 For every person who posts here that they would be careful with their toaster their are probably 100 nitwits who wouldn't be.

We do breakfast in the room a lot too. I'm not usually hungry right away, so eating out would be a waste. We usually have bagels, cereal, granola bars, doughnuts, fruit, and things like that. When we stayed in a Family Suite we also had microwave bacon.

We always eat b-fast in the room. I have cereal and the rest of the family eats grilled cheeses using a sandwich griddle thingy.

Just DH and I, no kids. My rule is "keep it simple, and keep it to something I know I want to eat". I think those two rules work for everyone though! :)

We aren't huge breakfast eaters to begin with, so for us just a donut or pastry and some milk or coffee is just fine. By the time we get really hungry it's almost time for lunch anyway, so no need to eat tons to tide us over.

We follow the adage of eating a great breakfast but keeping it quick. Too much in the carb department gives us the shakes. So we just have premade hard boiled eggs, vacation breakfast cookies (really just oatmeal and protein powder), or premade omelette cups. The kids like oatmeal in a cup with a fruit cup. And everyone drinks water.

We will bring peanut butter with us and then buy a package of cinnamon raisin bagels at the resort. We found that the package of bagels at the resort was actually cheaper than buying them at Publix. How crazy is that?!?! The other reason we buy them there instead of bringing them with is because then they are fresher. :)

We tend to eat our breakfast at rope drop while we are waiting. Some of the items we might have are Luna bars or other protein bars (no chocolate coatings that are going to melt), trail mix (no chocolate chips that will melt in the Florida sun), raisins, pb&J sandwich, dry cheerios or chex cereal in a ziploc bag, beef jerky, goldfish crackers. We try to keep breakfast simple and relatively healthy cause we know the rest of the day is going to be lots of treats.

We fly Southwest so there's always suitcase space for bringing breakfast from home, if we aren't going to have a car while at WDW. I have an insulated lunchbox/cooler that is about the size of a six-pack, so I pack individual yogurts and a container of spreadable cream cheese in that. We also bring along mini bagels, peanut butter, triscuits, cheddar cheese, sometimes squeezable fruit pouches. If we want cereal I bring it (usually put it in a ziplock bag, then into a storage container from the $1 store) and also a quart of shelf-safe unsweetened almond milk. Sometimes I pack fruit (cuties/halos, apples), sometimes not. I also bring shelf-stable half-n-half (usually the little individual cups) for our coffee, if there's a coffee maker in the room. I also make sure to pack disposable plates and plastic "silver"ware, bowls if there is cereal, and travel mugs. Anything liquid or with sticky-potential travels in a double zip-lock baggie.

we usually get yogurt with cereal, ham and cheese sandwiches (I bring the whole loaf pre made from home) bananas, P&J (smuckers uncrustables) cheese strings, pre cut apples slices, and any boxed juice or milk, as for coffee we do hold until we hit the parks for starbucks, all items are grab and go, for us is easier than having to set a table on the room for breakfast

My plan for our next trip is whole wheat minibagels with either PB or jelly (none of my kids will eat both at once) and a cheese stick. Then some cold cereal in a baggie for eating through the process of getting to the park. We are going to fly and will just pay to check one bag, which we would need to do anyways to get sunscreen and toiletries down in sizes that will last the week.

I am also going to have granola/protein bars for with mid-morning or afternoon snacks. My kids get super cranky if they aren't eating almost constantly (so do I...) yet stay skinny no matter what they eat.

I though about instant oatmeal, too, since I will be bringing a kettle for tea.

We normally have in the room cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. We might pick up a muffin at the store downstairs (and milk as soon as we get there). I also make coffee in the room. We do go out for breakfast but not every morning.

3 of 4 of us need and want protein in the morning to keep the shakes away too. I agree with the previous posters that said about 2 hours after a "sweet" breakfast getting the shakes.

We drive also. We have taken a Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Maker, stopped at the store for eggs and cheese and english muffins. We get the precooked bacon from Sams or Costco and make a quick breakfast sandwich while the rest of us get ready. We just take turns eating/showering. My oldest likes the packaged chocolate donuts for breakfast. We also get the Carnation breakfast drinks or protein drinks from the pharmacy dept from Walmart/Target.

We bring cereal, milk, bagels, cream cheese, granola bars and such. It saves so much money eating in our room.

We usually just bring some kind of granola bar or pop tarts. I won't use the coffee maker in the room for a few reasons so nothing with hot water for us.
