What are your Best "Don't miss souvenirs"?

TnTsParty - FYI - in Dec they had all of the antenna toppers at the Xmas shop at DTD - all of the holidays and even non-holiday - I never knew they made so many different ones - they were adorable ! - check there on your next trip ! :smooth:

I always like to get a different shot glass from each park each time we go. Of course as my fiance and I were making a joke about shot glasses being sold at Disney, a CM about our age laughed and said "That's why we call them toothpick holders!"

1. At the Arribas Bros stores they sell small colored sea/beach themed items (fish, crabs, palm trees, dolphins, etc) and around 2.50-5.00 I always pick up a few and I have them in a shadow box! This time I'm looking to get one of those crystal/glass Mickey's that you put on the lighted box thingy and that shines ever so beautifully (great description I know!)

2. I love to pick up those carved animals they sell at AKL, AK, and the outpost in Epcot

3. A Shot Glass, Pin, and Ornament round out my list.

- mickeyroni pasta $3 at World of Disney
- ears embroidered with your name
- epcot world showcase passport
- epcot world showcase kidcot (free!)
- plastic cups with different characters on it and water, sparkles, plastic shapes floating inside (especially for kids)- $3 at World of Disney and in parks
- a pin that reminds you of a trip- either a special encounter with a character, or the year we went, or if there are any ltd. ed. special occasion pins

I always get several ornaments, along with the big mickey head ornament with our names and a saying personalized on it. I love taking them out every year at xmas and remembering all the trips. I also started my daughters on the charm bracelets. They are about $6 for the bracelet themselves and $4 for each charm. My daughters got different charms from different places throughout wdw and now has a beautiful souveneir they will always have.

Here are some things that we always seem to pick up on each trip:
1. Christmas ornament.....can't go to WDW without getting one!! :D

2. T-shirt/sweatshirt/hats (we have quite the collection now!!)

3. Snowglobe

4. Earrings (for me and dd's)

5. Pearls in Japan

6. Pressed Pennies (the girls collect them)

:wizard:

I would love to know where those "character-shaped" crayons can be found; I'm not sure if I would actually use them, but like the the Disney- themed Mr. Potato Head, I would have to buy them!

More of an idea, which turns into a souvenir - last year we took a nice Disney story book that we bought at Barnes & Noble. We had the characters sign their pictures/stories right on the pages of the book, instead of the popular autograph books. This went over very well with CM's and characters alike. Makes a nice memory of the trip, especially if you add pic's to the inside flaps, or blank pages.

I got the pooh character crayons at DTD in the world of disney store... but also the believe the Emporium (i have horrible spelling) on main street sells them as well

I like to collect the containers that the popcorn comes in. Each park usually has its own container. They come in handy at home for storage.

I think for me it has to be the antenna toppers - I could barely find any Christmas ones in Dec and luckly found one for me and one for my sister at the AKL. I was hoping to find ones for Valentine's Day and St Patty's day but no luck. In Oct. I got one for Halloween and one for Thanksgiving. I just got one that I can use all year long - its one with sunglasses and Mickey ears. I also get an ornament any time I am there (it was hard to limit myself to one this last time!!)

At Days of Christmas at DTD they sell a bag with 6 different antenna toppers that include Valentines Day, St Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas for $20 Normally they are $4 each, so it is like buying 5 and getting the 6th one free. DH got it for me for Christmas. You can order them over the phone by calling 407 363 6200 (I believe that is the number) but if you call 407 WDISNEY, and ask for Merchandise Mail Order, they can connect you.

DD and I love the Italian charm braclets and add charms every trip. I also get Christmas ornaments for my collection. I buy the ride photos and a matching frame when they come out good!

come in Mickey Mouse and Friends, Princesses, or Pooh and Friends...............Princesses seemed easiest to find, I found them in nearly all the gift shops in the hotels, and in the Emporium.........Pooh was in the Emporium, Toon Town Hall of Fame, and Pooh Corner..............Mickey and Friends in World of Disney and Toon Town Hall of Fame. However, I think they are around 20 dollars now that I remember better..........still pretty cheap for a whole classroom worth of kids' souvenirs, but a little much for just a personal souvie.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the guest of honor badges, those make the coolest souveniers, and are fairly inexpensive!!

I always get a music CD or two. It's always great to listen to Disney music and the souvie actually gets used!

My favorite souvenier is my mickey mouse sorcerer cell phone topper. Everyone comments on it and I get to share my love of Disney:)

I collect pressed pennies. Have them from all over and it was great getting more with my DS on our trip. He was looking all over for them and loved it. Also I always get an ornament where ever I travel. This time we bought the Mickey Mouse ear ones - in 4 colors. I still have my tree up, not sure if I have the heart to take it down.
