What are you wearing to MNSSHP??

I want to get the Jack and Sally T shirts from TDS for this year, but of course I didn't buy them when I first saw them and now they don't have our sizes. Hopefully they will get more in.
Funny you should say that, because my DH and I got the Jack and Sally shirts from TDS to wear to the Oct. 30th MNSSHP. My DS 6 would like a costume to go along with our NBC theme shirts. Any easy ideas?

Wow. Everyone's costumes sound great. I am also worried about the heat. But this is most likely the only time we will ever go so I want something we will really like. Thanks for all the replies keep them coming. And let me know if you will be there Sept. 22nd thats the night we will be there. :)

Count us in --- we'll be there on 9/22 also! :thumbsup2

My DS is going as buzz lightyear, DH and I wanted to be Woody and Jessie but the only ones we could find were $200 and $100. So DH is going as a Braves baseball player, DD is going as dumbo, and me as raggedy ann.

DBF and I want to go as Lady and the Tramp, but we're having a dickens of a time finding any kind of costume!
I'm working on a cruise ship until I meet him in Orlando on the day we arrive at WDW, so there's no chance for me to make costumes. I'm hoping that I can ransack a couple of costume stores in NYC when we're in port this Saturday!

I'm going as a pirate. Just got the last bit of my costume completed today! :)

I really want to go as Elphaba , but am afraid the face paint would be itchy and bother me.

I also thought of being Tia Dalma from PotC: DMC, but as I'm very pale, I'm not sure I could pull that one off.

I would go as Elizabeth Swann, but I figure there will be a ton of Elizabeths. Everyone wants to be Jack Sparrow's girl (and though I am, I will let some of the others revel in their fantasy life. pirate: :rotfl: ).

I too am clueless. My dd is going as Tink. My husband really does not want to dress up. My ds is 11 and isn't sure either about a costume. I thought about a Tink so my DD and I match, but the affordable ones on ebay are a bit, risque.

I would love to be Cruella, but I am thinking it may be too hot and bothersome? I want to be comfy as well.

Those are both cool! :thumbsup2

I also looked at the tink costumes for adults and was surprised how little material there was. I am too tall to be wearing it I would be mooning everyone all night.

My DH, 2 DS and I are going as NY Yankee baseball players. We will be wearing our jerseys, hats and eye black to complete the package. Don't have to worry about packing bulky costumes and can always pair them with shorts if the night is warm.

My DH has decided to purchase a "Ruth" jersey so he can go as the "ghost of Babe Ruth" ........whoooo.....scarey!! Hee-Hee!!

Ya, I noticed the Tink costumes on eBay do have very little material! I'm kinda scared about that!

My 2nd choice is NY Yankees players, since we already have the jerseys - it's a free costume. Maybe will have a whole team there! LOL!!

DD is going as cinderella and I am going as a fairy. She picked out the costume and said I could be her fairy godmother.

Last year we went as Tink and Peter Pan... The Tink adult costume was actually the "green fairy" from the Halloween costume store (where you can take it out of the package and see what it really looks like). It had cooler wings and I suggest buying it a size larger.
This year we are going about 2 wks early than last year (10/10), so I am worried about the heat... last year, it was definitely cold by the end of the night, but it's hot at 4 PM! I need to think of something a bit more versitile. I was thinking villians (because when else do they get to be center state at Disney!), but most of those costumes seem hot...
Thanks for everyone posting their ideas!

Myself, DH and DD ( 13 ) will all be chaacters from Alice in Womderland.

My husband says he will dress up as long as he does not have to wear tights :teeth:

The kids are going to dress up, I think Buzz for my youngest, a pirate for my middle son and a puddle skirt for my daughter. Do they sell MNSSHP t-shirts ahead of time??

in 2003 we went as the Peter Pan family. I was Wendy, dh - Peter Pan (shorts, a Peter pan shirt I made and the hat), ds4 was a pirate and dd1 was little tinkerbelle. It was wonderful, we were comfortable and had a great time!

This yr dh and I are wearing t-shirts. He has a Big Bad wolf on the front/back of his and I am sporting Malifecent.

DS turning 7, wants to wear his POTC Kraken t-shirt but it is black....and unless I have him wear a glowing necklace w/ it I am not too keen on this. Another option is for him to wear a Stitch t-shirt (orange)

DD turning 4 has so many dress up outfits she can't choose! Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbelle, a Fairy, Hula dancer, Bride. All but the bride costume would be comfortable. I'm trying to suggest the hula dancer and she could be Lilo and ds could wear his "stitch" t-shirt. I suppose if they go this route we might be Lani and David w/ some surfer dude stuff for DH. (I have a hawaiin patterned dress) Problem is, both dd and I have light brown short hair. Not exactly the family look we're going for.

So.....still trying to decide here!

Since DH said NO to costumes I made matching t-shirts for us with some cheap shirts from AC Moore, clip art that I found online, and iron-on transfer paper...
