MY HEALTH....not perfect but better...I've lost 5 pounds since Feb
THAT I CELEBRATE 12 YEARS OF MARRIAGE IN JUST 2 WEEKS IN NEW ORLEANS
THAT GAS HAS FINALLY GONE DOWN....THANKS TO OUR WONDERFUL TROOPS FOR WINNING THIS WAR...I know it's not over, but America has proved once again, WE ARE NOT the ones to mess with! :p
I'M JUST THANKFUL FOR THE DAY IN GENERAL

FINALLY....

I'M THANKFUL THAT I'M ALIVE AND THAT I'M ONE OF GOD'S CHILDREN....WHO CAN ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE???? :jester:

I'm thankful that God has given me another day on this earth.
I'm thankful for a wonderful husband of 12.5 years who supports me in so many ways.
I'm thankful that I've survived all the cuts at work, that I have a great new boss, and that I finally got a review after 2 years.
I'm thankful that we own our home.
I'm thankful that it is Spring and we have beautiful flowers coming up in the garden.
I'm thankful that we make enough together to enjoy life and still save for the future.
I'm thankful that we ar leaving for a cruise in just 2 days.
I'm thankful for in-laws that care about us (and will be traveling with us)
I'm thankful for wonderful memories left to me by my mother who would have been 74 this Friday.
I'm thankful that I have been raised in a faith that has seen me through good times and bad.
I'm thankful for a place like the DIS where I can hang out, have some fun, and touch and be touched by others lives.

Binny, thank you for starting this and making me realize today how much I do have to be thankful for.

Well, I was in a pretty down/ woe is me place today and fellow DIS'ers pulled me up out of it. I am thankful that they took the time to reach out. There is much more that I am thankful for, but that kinda tops my list today!:D

I was just thinking about this the last day or so. Really there is so much for me for to be thankful for. In a nutshell I am thankful that we are where we are today and not where we were a year ago :) That encompasses a lot, but it is what I feel thankful for :)

that I have a great bf(even through we're long distance right now) and that we can talk and soon to see each other

I'm done with school!!!! I only had 2 finals and I did well on both of them!

Unfortunately, I'm not done forever, just until June, but that's fine by me!

If you had told me 5 or 6 years ago that I would voluntarily go to summer school in college, I would have told you that you were crazy, but it's worth it!

I'm also thankful that after summer school in June, I'm moving to Florida. :)

My ds gradautes from college tomorrow!

Yay!

I am grateful for :

My thoughtful child

My sweet NICE kitties

My parents are together forever

My best friend and ex boss, Cynthia, who loves me no matter
what!

My sister who truly loves me though she won't say it!

My dear friends on the DIS, people who touch my heart daily, there are no words to express how much that means to me.

Too many to mention big and small. Blessings come from amazing places and from wonderful people!

Every day that I wake up I'm thankful.

I'm especially thankful that I'm not having an MS attack.

I went to the endodontist today to have my root canal checked and it's fine - only sat in the chair about 1 minute and I was out!:D

Thankful for my family and my pets.

And of course thankful for my fellow DISers - you guys are always there to brighten up my day!:D

I really like this thread! Even though I am a child of God I tend to be a "glass half empty" person. My husband took a great job here 3 years ago, and got laid off 3 months later. While I am grateful that he has found other employment, I am constantly asking "why did God bring us up here?" We are so far from family and old friends. I have to constantly remind myself of God's blessings on me:
His undying love
A great husband (15 years and going strong)
4 cute,smart,healthy kids
Wonderful family and friends (even new ones!)
A nice home and plenty to eat

Thankful that today is my Friday and I dont have to work the next 2 days!

I'm always thankful for my wife, and that I haven't heard any bad news concerning my family (my brother is "somewhere in Iraq" right now).

I'm thankful for so many things every day but this week I'm especially thankful that my 19 and 16 year old neices(and another 16 year old friend) are alive. My 19 year old neice rolled her suv 4 times on I95 and slid 800 feet upside down last Friday and the worst injury between the three of them was a severe concusion. How many angels do you think that one took  especially since two of them were ejected.

I am thankful for:

God's love
A truly awesome 14 yo daughter
My bosses
My ex-husband has had 1 year of sobriety
My wonderful girlfriends who will tell me when I have lipstick on my teeth, tell me when to pull my head out of my *ss, who will drop everything and pray with me...
My health
My middle sister who emails me everyday
My oldest sister who "died" twice in March in the ER, wasn't expected to live, and is now making a full recovery.
My mom is still here with me
The fact that I am better at smiling than frowning
That my sense of humor is far greater than my temper

AND that I know to count my blessings when I really want to have a pity party!

The sunshine!!

I have way too many things that I'm thankful for to name them all: God, family, health, peace, happiness...

But it's a beautiful day here in Kentucky, and right now, I'm very thankful for that!

Today Im thankful that my brother will have the chance to have his heart bypass operation this Mon. His MRI of his back came back clear.
