Both DW and I are surprised I have not yet died (been killed) during one of my bicycle rides. I am currently recuperating from a crash after a Wild Hog hit me (2nd time in 2 years - 3 months) while out riding at my normal time of after midnight back in July. Both the Police and I tried to call her but she had her new phone placed face side down so it too was sleeping 3AM. An Officer was sent to our house and after numerous poundings on the front door she woke, went to door, opened it, saw officer, ASKED "What hospital is he in?" figuring I'd be in ER or Morgue. Back in 2011 when I crashed on a ride and suffered a minor broken neck I had a friend I was riding with call her on my phone so she just figured it was me and was not alarmed. Blood test is later today as a preliminary check to possibly initiate further treatment for my Prostate Cancer. Diagnosed in 2015 so I've made it past the first 5 year survival time frame and working on the 2nd. I'm expecting the PCa to get me before the Wild Hogs or cars, DW thinks it's 50-50.
