Godless: How an Evangelical Preacher Became One of America's Leading Atheists by Dan Barker :thumbsup2

Between last night and this morning, I read "White Christmas Pie" - by Wanda Brunstetter.. (Amish fiction - of course!)

Quick read and the perfect time to read a book such as this..:santa:

Now, that sounds like a good read.

It is simply amazing!!The sacrifices he has made both professionally and personally to be himself are truly inspirational. :goodvibes I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone :thumbsup2

I just finished Case Histories by Kate Atkinson. I am going to start Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult right after I finish watching the season finale of Amazing Race!

I started The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo this week. So far, I'm really enjoying it. I just wish I had more time to devote to it.

I loved this book. The Girl Who Played With Fire is on my Christmas wish list.

I'm reading In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan. I'm hoping it gives me the resolve I need to buy free range chicken breasts even though they are $10 a pound in my area.

After that I'll be reading Devil in the White City about a serial killer at the Chicago World Fair.

I also hear a review for a book called Bad Things Happen on NPR and that sounded good too, but it's still in hardcover so I'll wait for a sale or go to the library.

Did anyone read books by Hugh Laurie (Dr. House) ? I'm curious.

My husband read one. It's called the Gunslinger or something like that with a yellow cover. He said it was really good, he said it had the same dry sense of humor that Hugh Laurie uses on the show.

Thanks for the comment. It makes me want to read it.

Just started While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky. So far, I'm enjoying it.

I'm reading "Plum Island" by Nelson DeMille...I haven't read that much yet but it seems interesting.

I'm finally reading "Peter and the Starcatchers" by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson ~ I haven't gotten very far into it yet but I definitely am enjoying the style of writing. :thumbsup2

The Hunt for Atlantis by Andy McDermott, a new author for me, the first book in a series, writing style and plot summary similar to Clive Cussler. So far, so good :)

Under the Dome by Stephen King. 130 pages in and I'm really enjoying it! Still have a loooooong way to go though. :thumbsup2
