Super - thanks!
For once it pays to have a DH who manages a video store...He wanted something to do in the winter and this way he gets his video rentals for free...(and it gets him out of my hair...LOL)

Also a Nora Roberts; I just finished Dance of the Gods about an hour ago. I'll be starting the third in that trilogy tonight.
My sister recommend the trilogy in the summer...I really enjoyed the books.....it pretty neat how she brings everything together.

I can read again...

I just finished Mitch Albom's "Tuesdays with Morrie." IMHO, it was one of the best books that I've ever read. It was so good that I now started reading Albom's "The Five People You Meet in Heaven." "For One More Day" is on deck.

I saw a lengthy interview with the author on a news show recently. It was moving. I was very interested. Then I got preoccupied with other things and forgot all about it. In the interview, there were pictures of the author and Morrie, and of Morrie and his family. I think Matt Lauer interviewed Albom. Anyway, I'm glad to hear you recommend this book. It did sound like an inspiration. I will put this on the must read list! Thanks!

The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood

just started it yesterday, almost half finished - good book

You are welcome. Enjoy.

Peony In Love by Lisa See

Very interesting and I really like her writing style.

I just finished Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. It rocked! One of her best!! I need to decide what I'm going to read now.

My Sister's Keeper was one of the best books I ever read & my favorite by her.

Definitely read it & make your own opinion.

I agree, Simba's mom. A lot of people loved this book. Read it, and decide for yourself. I don't want to give anything away, but with all the issues that came up in the book, I thought the ending was a cop-out. That's just my opinion, of course. 90 percent of the book was good. Let us know what you thought once you've read it.

I finished reading The Twentieth Wife by Indu Sundaresan. It's historical fiction set in 16th century India. It was fascinating.

If I go to Book Club...uncertain...next up is Sula (I think that is the title) by Toni Morrisson. If not that, it's Empire Falls by Richard Russo.

I just started Black Notice. It's a Patricia Cornwell Novel in the Kay Scarpetta Series. I actually like it so far as it is moving quickly.

On Deck are Roses are Red from James Patterson and I hope to get Half Blood Prince (Harry Potter) for my birthday.

Yes, I just finished it, and like you, I thought that the ending was such a cop-out. All thru the book you wonder how such a complex issue is going to be resolved. Then, rather than a complex solution, there's a quick and easy cop-out answer. Other than that ending, the book was very interesting. I'm planning to go to the library this afternoon and see what other Jodi Picoult books I might find. I already read and enjoyed Plain Truth.

Forgot to add earlier, I just finished Cut by Patricia McCormick. It was an awful book. Poorly written and no resolve whatsoever. Blech.

I had to go back through the thread because there is one here and on the budget board. . .both have good recommendations.

I just happened upon Marian Keyes with Anyone Out There? which then got me to pick up Watermelon, which was also good. I guess I will have to grab another one in the Walsh sister series next.

Is anyone else reading The Choice by Sparks? I have about 20 pages left and was wondering what others thought/thought so far.

I am currently reading The Elegant Gathering of White Snow by Kris Radish.

Reading Salem Falls by Jodi Piccoult, also the The 5th Horseman by James Patterson.
I just finished:
Change of Heart: Jodi Picoult
You've Been Warned: James Patterson
The Quickie: James Patterson

I had read some of his romantic ones:love: his mystery ones are REALLY good also!

This is the book that got me and my best firend addicted to her! So far I like Plain Truth and The Pact the best, I also thought Nineteen Minutes was good! She keeps my interest!

I am saving Nineteen Minutes to take to WDW with me on April 2. I am almost done with Keeping Faith which started out great, but really got bogged down in the middle. I am hoping the ending will redeem it. I liked The Pact better.

I am an avid book buyer - generally I buy them at yard sales, library sales, resale shops. Currently I have over 100 books to read! I have to hide them from my DH. I think my next up is Atonement and/or The Book Thief.

Today I finished The Choice by Nicholas Sparks. It was a great beginning, great middle, but the end? I was really disappointed. It just felt like Nicholas couldn't think of a good resolution and just "made something up."

Anyone else feel that way?

I haven't decided what I am going to read next. Either Atonement by Ian McEwan or Soul Catcher by Michael White. Someone decided for me, lol! :)
