Well it is that time that I have gone through all my favorite authors and read some not so good books..... any suggestions? Can you tell a little about the book?
Thanks in advance fellow readers!!!!!

Dante's "Divine Comedy"; "Queer as Folk: The Book"; "The L Word: Official Companion"; "Bite Me!" (A Buffy Companion Novel"; All of J.R. Ward's novels (in order), and the Harry Potter novels. That's what I'm reading now. As for suggestions, it depends upon the genre(s) you like.

At the moment, I'm reading Nora Roberts Angels Fall...just out in paperback. What kind of books do you like?

I am reading a biography on Walt Disney.

Walt Disney The Triumph Of The American Imagination, by Neal Gabler.

It tells the good, the bad and the ulgy.

Memoirs, biographies, English history, romance, WWII survival...I read most anything except crime....

I just finished reading "Water For Elephants" - fantastic!!! Couldn't put it down. Best book I've read in awhile.

Jenny:)

I'm on a Katie MacAlister kick right now. I've read 3 of her romances (Corset Diaries, and 2 others that I'm blanking on) and I'm in the process of reading Men in Kilts right now.

I would recommend (can't think of the author, but it's the same for all three): Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Baby Proof. They're really good.

Anything Nicholas Sparks is good.

One thing about the Katie MacAlister books that I like is that they're always European/British related. It incorporates some different cultural elements. One is done at a Renaissance Faire, one in London, one in Manchester, England, and I can't remember the 4th. I read as an escape, not to learn anything, etc. so I don't tend to retain a lot, especially when I follow a book with a book, if that makes any sense.

I looooove Marian Keyes.

This book is one of my favorites:

I am reading The Boy in The Striped Pajamas by John Boyle.
When Bruno returns home from school one day, he discovers that his belongings are being packed in crates. His father has received a promotion and the family must move from their home to a new house far far away, where there is no one to play with and nothing to do. A tall fence running alongside stretches as far as the eye can see and cuts him off from the strange people he can see in the distance.
But Bruno longs to be an explorer and decides that there must be more to this desolate new place than meets the eye. While exploring his new environment, he meets another boy whose life and circumstances are very different to his own, and their meeting results in a friendship that has devastating consequences.

I am having a hard time putting this book down.

Usually I read fiction but, for a change of pace. I'm reading Supreme Conflict: The Inside Story of the Struggle for Control of the United States Supreme Court by Jan Crawford Greenburg. Beginning with Sandra Day O'Connor, this book examines each Supreme Court nomination, what it was intended to do, and what it actually did to the Court and its Liberal/Conservative balance. I'm just getting into the Ruth Bader Ginsburg nomination.

It's interesting to see whose opinion actually influenced other Justices' versus the outside perception of power and influence.

I just finished reading "Friday Night Knitting Club" by Kate Jacobs. I thought it was great for a first novel by the author.

I'm also reading anything and everything by Sherryl Woods and Debbie Macomber.

Just finished Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk and now I am half way through Lullaby (also Chuck Palahniuk). Next up, Choke- CP also. I love this author!!

I just finished "A Thousand Spendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini, the same author as The Kite Runner. It tells the story of two women in Afghanistan. Although it was hard to read in places (the brutality described was horrific) I almost could not put the book down.

The Gift of Fear by Gavin deBecker. A must read for all folks, especially women. It is a book about personal safety and trusting your instincts.

Reading Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles....on book 3, "Queen of the Damned".

I will also toss Harry Potter "Order of the Phoenix" & "Half Blood Prince" in there prior to the July release of the last book.:thumbsup2

Some really great suggestions.....going to do a Amazon search and some ordering. Please keep them coming!

I just finished James Patterson's 6th Target. It is the recent one in the woman's murder club. His books are good beach books-quick and easy. I am trying to finish 32 Third Graders and 1 Rabbit. A funny book about teaching, then I will scour my book shelf to find a novel to read on vacation.
