What are you making for dinner this Halloween night?

Funny you should ask :) I just put together a pot of taco soup. I got the recipe from a girl I work with. It is sort of like chilli. YUMMY! The kids will hopefully have time to scarf down a hot dog and maybe a veggie. Happy Halloween!

Our neighborhood civic league supplies pizza, juice, and donuts for everyone before trick or treat starts

When the kids were home, we usually ordered pizza. Since they're both in college now, we'll probably make home-made pizza just to stick with tradition. ;)

Same here, except I might make tacos. :)

Frito Pie here...the girls LOVE it almost more than candy - wish it was at least healthy! :)

chili dogs and frito pie for us. I really wished I lived in a cool neighborhood that got together on these special event nights.

Pizza or Chicken nuggets was always our past tradions. We just had chicken, and pizza is so much cheese (DD can eat milk now, but we have to limit it, I am saving it for halloween candy for her.)

So it is hot dogs and mac and cheese for us (with no cheese for the little one who can't have much milk.)

Pretty decent weather around here (MI) last year was lovely. This year on the chilly side, but not bad at all really. :thumbsup2

Chili FRITOS! and Chili dogs! My mom is apparently making Chili Fritos as well (we live 1 1/2 hours away) and she asked "how are you making the chili" I said "From the CAN!" :rotfl: What? :confused3 I like Hormel's Turkey Chili! Hee

Also we are having pumpkin pie! I DID bake that though!

Oh, I have fritos, and I was just opening a can of chili for the hot dogs. I can do that. We are having chili fritos too! Thanks for the idea! :goodvibes

In 1991, it was in the 20s here on Halloween. I remember it because it was my son's first Halloween. We had ZERO trick or treaters.

In 1991 we got 30 inches of snow on Halloween! We had 1 kid come to the door, and she only came because she lived across the street and her grandma (who was with her) was a friend of my moms.

We are having the dinner of champions tonight before we go out, hot dogs and chips!!!!! Quick trumps healthy tonight.

I would love some "hotdish" Golfgal, can you send some my way?

I am so envious of the families of all of you who actually COOK!!!! DH has been a stay at home dad for over 15 years, but the food part has never worked out well. He's very into boxed/frozen foods, getting out whatever leftovers are in the fridge, etc. I'd be so thrilled if I came home to a pot roast and potatoes in the crock pot!!!!
