What are you making for Christmas Eve Dinner?

We are going to my aunt's for Christmas Eve (the family party rotates between my aunt, my aunt's cousin, and me and my two cousins, so we host about once every five years) but for Christmas Day dinner, since it will just be my husband, my MIL and I (My daughter goes to her dad's grandparents' house for Christmas Day dinner after spending the day with us) I am doing a crock pot roast with some undetermined sides in addition to the carrots and potatoes.

A nice salad and lasagna sounds really good with apps throughout the day and some homemade hot cocoa and whipped cream for dessert

This year will be extremely busy for DH and me. We are cooking appetizers, honey glazed ham, green beans, mashed potatoes and then pies for dessert on Christmas Eve with my DH family.

Christmas Day we are making appetizers, turkey with all the fixings, and then cheesecake for dessert for my family.

Our oven and stove will be on full blast both days, but well worth the effort to celebrate it with family.

You could do a pot of regular hot cocoa and one with white chocolate cocoa and have a bowl of marshmallows, a bowl of chocolate shavings, and whipped cream YUM!
