What Are You Looking Forward to on your next trip?

For me, it's the relaxing view from balcony of my BWV Boardwalk view room. (Even better with an adult beverage in hand) I can sit there for hours on end, just watching the boats and the people, hearing all the interesting sounds, noticing how the light changes.

My favorite memory from our last trip was this beautiful older lady. She was dressed to the nines with a fabulous overcoat that perfectly matched her shoes. She was so lovely! And she was so happy to be at the World! We went to City Hall to get a birthday pin, and she was there to get her First Time pin! I whispered to my girls that it was this young lady's first time, and my oldest took out her pin book, grabbed a cute piglet pin and presented it to the lady and said "I hope your day is magical" :goodvibes I was so proud of her! :goodvibes

The lady was so happy that she called her family over and they videotaped and took pictures of my daughter. It was a very good start of the day! :goodvibes

That is so sweet...

On a similar theme...a magical moment last year was when DD was given a pin (her / our first one) from a lovely CM at the start of our first Disney day...she was thrilled....

I'm looking WAY forward to:

-First stay at AKV

-First MNSSHP

-First time at WDW with my BFF/niece

-First time at Food&WineFest

Favorite memories from last trip:

-BBB with DD4 followed by Perfectly Princess Tea Party. An unbelievabley magical day!

-Talking my DH into going to PPP a second time.

-Crying with my DS7 when it was timt to go home. It was such a sweet moment together, even tho it was a sad one.:sad1:

-Discovering TSI for the first time.

-Realizing how super nuts my DD4 is bc she begged to ride ToT, and then loved it and wanted to ride it again.

-As always, WISHES!

The most special and favourite memory from my last trip was that my DD (7 at the time) got to meet her favourite princess Sleeping Beauty, we had not found her the time before when she was 5 .. She had her own costume on and had the biggest grin on her face the whole time :cutie: but could barely speak to her cause she was so blown away!!! Makes me smile :) everytime i think about it .. Looking forward to making more of those memories when we go this year with my cousin's DD3 and DS2

Since I started this I guess I should tell you about my memories. My favorite memory from our last trip in 2005. It was our second to last day in the parks. My inlaws had gone back to their place in Tampa. We were all in MGM, me, DH, DS19, DS17, nephew 17, DD9. It was raining and she was bored, the lines were so long, and we had just gone on great movie ride. So DH staid with the boys to do their thing. DD and I went to MK. I asked her what she wante to do most. She wanted to go on the monorail. We took a boat to the CR. Where she just stood in awe when she realized it really did go right through the hotel. She just stared wide eyed as we watched everything go by on our way to the MK. When we left the MK that evening we were on Main Street when the fireworks were about to start. She looked up just intime to see Tinkerbell fly down that wire. She was transfixed looking at the castle lite up at night with the fireworks overhead. When it was over she looked at me and said that was the best, I'm just glad it was with you. It was the perfect ending to a not so perfect( weather)day. There are so many others but fortunatley they are to many to list. I say that because it means I have had some really great times in the world. What am I looking forward to on our next trip in late April of this year. EVERYTHING! Wishing you all many more magical times. pixiedust:

My brother and SIL and I took my 5 year old nephew to Magic Kingdom for the Pirate's and Princess party Feburary 5th...it wasn't a Disney trip, (or not to me anyway) we were in Orlando for 5 days and just going to Disney for the party. My nephew hadn't been to Disney since he was almost 3, but LOVES Disney and is always talking about going to Disney World.

Anyway... we went to Kona Cafe at the Poly for lunch and my nephew didn't know we were at Disney World. After lunch we took the monorail to Magic Kingdom and even when we got off, he still didn't know where we were. We went into the park and when we came out onto Main Street and he saw the Castle!?!? ... Oh! The LOOK on his face was beyond priceless. His eyes got huge, he looked at me, he looked at my brother and said in shock ... "Are we at DISNEY WORLD?!" it was so awesome to surprise him like that.

spending the entire week with my family at WDW. This is the first time that my Mother, two brothers and their familes, and myself and my partner all going together. I lived in New Orleans and Katrina relocated me to Austin, TX and we don't get to see much of each other; therefore, this trip will be special for all ten of us.

Enjoy your trip!
It'll be the first time I get to see my closest cousin and her kids since they were relocated from Gulfport to Colorado after Katrina, So I'm pretty excited!
Plus, we just relocated from ventura county, CA, so my kids are used to Disney on a monthy basis, so this will be our first Mickey Fix since early December!
I just can't wait walk under the Magic words...
Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy...

Our dates overlap too! I'll wave to you at the GF from across the lake at the Poly!

I forgot to share my favorite memory from our last trip.... It was June 2006 and we stayed the the Contemporary. We tried to watch the MK fireworks from the resort's dock but even that was too close for our DD. She has autism. But we discovered we could watch the fireworks from our room in the North Garden Wing (now torn down) and SHE LOVED THEM! We are hoping that the Poly is far enough from the MK that we can enjoy them from the Poly beach this year.

I will send you a wave as well. :wave2: You can watch the fireworks from the Poly beach. It's a great spot and your DD will love them. Have a great trip.

Well I'm doing the 2-day after 2 pm quick trips to the park this weekend during my conference stay, so I don't expect to see much.....On our next trip with my wife though, I'm really looking forward to seeing the refurbished HM (might get a chance to go on it sunday) or SSE, but unlikely my other park visit will be Epcot during this trip. I always enjoy TTA on every trip though....that's my highlight- that and Maelstrom.

I am really looking forward to enjoying everything WDW has to offer. My DD became extremely ill the 2nd night of our 7 night trip at Tony's before the MVMCP.:sad2:
We spent the rest of our trip in the hospital and in our room.
Hope the next visit is way better!

I have a trip planned with my two best friends for the Fall of 2009 and it seems sooooooooo far away! I really want to go down the character trails at Animal Kingdom, I was oblivious to these until a lady on the resort bus told me about them. I want to do a character breakfast and about a million other things. I can't wait to be there with my two favorite people and just run through the world like little kids!

I'm really looking forward to our next trip (sometime next year). It will be our first trip (DH and I) alone, we usually go w/ other family members. I'm hoping to rent some points from a DVC member to see if it's something we'd like to pursue in the future. I'm also looking forward to taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour. I'd also like to resort hop as well.

Haven't gotten all the way through this thread as I keep having to stop and wipe away the tears! These are wonderful stories and things to look forward to on your next trips!

Last year, in August, my twin granddaughters and I met up with my son and his family at WDW. It was the first time that I had seen my son in almost 3 yrs. We had a wonderful time and I got to spend time with my step-grandson and great grandson. It was Noah's first time in WDW. To see my favorite place in the world through his eyes was fantastic! It was like the very first time that I went.

It was also the first time that I had taken my granddaughters anywhere by myself. We had a wonderful time getting closer to each other!

This August, while my son and family won't be there, the twins will and I am so looking forward to the whole trip with them! They are wonderful little girls and are most appreciative. They love TOT and that will be the first ride of our stay!

I have to admit that when our dates first changed from Dec 20 - 28th to Dec 7 - 14th I had a hard time seeing the glass as half full. It was my dream to be at the MK on Christmas day and my DH's new boss literally laughed at the idea. However once I started "selling" the date change to my DS's it was so easy to see the glass as more than half full. The following are the things that I am looking forward to.
1. Getting to see WDW decked out for Christmas without the Christmas week crowds.
2. MVMCP
3. CP (Hopefully it will be someone that I at least know and hopefully like.)
4. Sitting on the balcony of our MK view room at the Poly.
5. Finally riding RnRC since my youngest DS is tall enough to ride it
6. Eating at CRT
7. Having a photo session at the GF (hopefully the Poly will be added by then)
8. Getting the DlxDDP and trying a bunch of new restaurants
9. Finally getting to spend the souvenir money that I have been saving in our Disney piggy bank (so far I have saved $750.00 to split between myself and my DS's since my DH doesn't want any spending money)
10. Being at WDW for 8 days, heck just being at WDW.:lmao:
11. While we are at WDW for 8 days, my DH will not be able to play World of Warcraft, so my DS's and I get all his attention.

I'm looking forward to this trip with my family. My mother who was fighting cancer our last trip is four years cancer free. She then had double knee replacement and is now fit enough to go . She may limp but shes exercising and is determined to ride all the rides and keep up with the group. The look on her face when we talk about it is priceless. My DB and SIL and their twins boys will also be there. There now six this is the first time will be at WDW together. This will be a memorable trip for all of us and can't wait. :thumbsup2

My favorite memory from my last vacation involves my DS meeting Aladdin for the first time. During that trip he was 2.5. Allow me to set the scene:

We were talking a leisurely walk around the World Showcase, with the aim of CS in Mexico. The line for Aladdin and Genie was really short, so I said to DH and FIL, why not? Now during this whole trip, my son had been a little apprehensive with characters like Alice, Mary Poppins...you follow? ;)

But he loves to watch Aladdin at home, so I figured we'd give it a whirl. He was very nervous. I have a pic of him with his hands in his mouth just staring at him, like I can't believe I'm meeting my idol!

We tried to take some pics with the Photopass photographer but DS was still nervous. While Genie was signing DS' autograph book, Aladdin knelt down to DS level and started talking to him very softly. He then took him by the hand, and led him over to the fence, looking out across the water, and pointing toward Spaceship Earth. My DS was listening intently and started laughing! The Photopass photographer jumped the fence and started shooting like crazy, and yes, we have that perfect picture of Aladdin and DS tilting their heads together and smiling! I couldn't belive that he went from :scared1: to  in a few short minutes.

Afterwards the Photopass guy said, please don't tell anyone I jumped the fence! I thought that was so funny since if Disney reviews its photos anyway, it would be pretty obvious where you would have to be situated to take that one!

This was totally an unplanned, unscheduled magical moment. It is one of my favorite Disney memories. I still have no idea what Aladdin said to my DS, but I felt so :cloud9:

This coming trip, I'm looking forward to it being me, DH, and DS. Past few trips we've gone with family and this will be our first trip just the three of us. I can't wait to run on our own schedule and just chill. :)

:goodvibes This trip I'm looking forward to being at the 'World' with my sons and their best friends. We've made several trips to Disney and we absolutely LOVE IT!! But of course as children do..our boys are getting a little older (sigh) and they think the idea of being at Disney with their best friends (also brothers) is the best idea in the whole world. My DH and myself were not so sure about the idea. But, when their dad approached us and said he'd like to take the boys to Disney (they've never been) and he knew of no one that his boys would rather be there with that our boys and ..."Why don't we all go together?" We couldn't help but smile and say,"Sounds GReat!!"" Now that I've had the opportunity to talk and show pictures and answer questions about what we will see and do, I'm absolutley THRILLED :woohoo: to be traveling with friends showing them The GReatest Place on EARTH To BE!!!DISNEY!!!:lovestruc
CAN'T WAIT!!

For me: I want to find a perfect spot on the beach at the Poly, perhaps, in a hammock, at sunset. I want to relax in my hammock, undisturbed while sipping, lazily on a Lapu Lapu and reading a book, until I fall asleep, undisturbed :cloud9:

Did I forget to mention...undisturbed :smooth:

For ds9 aka the boy: He can't wait until he tastes the BBQ Ribs at Boma and "those sweet, sweet sticky wings at O'hana" - I think I got a little piggy, piggy :lmao:

For dh: He just said, "the restaurants". He's just double checked that he still has Le Cellier and, what he calls, The Yak...Looks like, I've got another piggy on my hands:rotfl2:

We all agreed the best memory we have from our last vacation (my side of the family was there)...was watching my family disappear into the distance, as they left to return home

I am looking forward to all the laughter my little family of four share whenever we visit any Disney park. I'm in a good mood, DH is in a good mood cuz I'm in a good mood, the two DD (10 and 12) love that we are in a good mood. The smiles and laughter is very sweet and it comes easily. We usually have a good time together whenever we are together, but it seems extra special at WDW or at DL.
The best memory from our last visit to WDW is attending MNSSHP. First time we have ever done this event and were very impressed with it, especially the parade.

Hi i am looking forward to visiting with my daughter we have tea with Alice ,the American girl tea and a lot of charactor breakfasts and dinners and lunch plus Bibbity boo 8 days full of fun fun fun but not until August so far yet so soon it will be here.:cool1: :cool1:  :cheer2:
