What are you looking for that is "sold out" until after Christmas?

I've run into a couple of Santa dead-ends with my dd4 and dd7 this year...luckily we were able redirect or found reasonable substitutions. However, it would have been nice to find the things they most wanted. I thought it might be interesting to list some of the "hard to find" items (in case others have suggestions)---beyond Ebay.

Here's what we missed by not being the early bird:

American Girl Bicycle- Sold Out until Feb 5th
American Girl- Girl of the Year Swim Team Suit- Out of Stock online- found one in store
Our Generation Scooter (Target)- No Longer in Stock
Barbie Skate Board (WalMart)- No Longer in Stock
Our Generation Sleep Over Set (Target)- Out of Stock online- found one in store

I don't have anything I'm looking for, but I wanted to let you know that if you can't find something on Target's website you should check Amazon, sometimes it'll be on there sold by Target.

A pillow pet. DD wanted the unicorn one, but they've been out of stock for weeks. She liked the giraffe one that was similar at Costco, so she'll get that one instead. It was half the price and I didn't have to give my credit card info so I think it was a good compromise.

The Kidkraft deluxe parking garage for DS2 - I couldn't find it on any site, finally found it on one, and then put off ordering it FOR ONE DAY and when I went back it said orders placed after yesterday are not guaranteed for Xmas! Arrrrgh! I ordered it anyway and am keeping my fingers crossed.

I always check Amazon for everything.. Wouldn't touch ebay with a ten foot pole anymore.. The "closest" I come to it is half.com for used books - and then only because the combo shipping is cheaper than Amazon..

Hmm, along the same lines as you - an Our Generation doll bed for dd's Mia. Much more reasonablly priced than the ones from the AG catalog. It may or may not be be shipped before Christmas. If it isn't shipped, I will wrap a picture of it or something so dd knows she is getting a bed too (younger dd is getting bunk beds for Felicity and Chrissa).
