What are you having for Sunday dinner?

Cantw8,

Sorry I thought the poster was laughing about the spelling.

Here's a photo

It's a pasta dish with red sauce.

Cantw8,

My girlfriend is Italian so I made it for dinner last night when she came over.

You my friend, are a keeper :thumbsup2 Good job :)

Cantw8,

That's what she keeps telling me, which I guess is what her friends keep telling her and they haven't even met me yet.

Homemade teriyaki chicken on the grill, homemade pork fried rice, and a side of kim chee. :)

A repeat of last night's Kentucky Derby dinner: chicken breasts and steak, hash brown casserole, baked beans, greenbean casserole and a double-decker cookie with icing. No wine or bourbon tonight, though!!

I might make a salad for me -- I ate too much yesterday and my stomach stretched!

I am going along with the advice of a fellow DISer to eat a steak before going for my blood sugar test tomorrow, so it's a grilled new york steak with mixed greens.

Beer can chicken on the grill, hashbrown casserole, fruit salad, and rolls. I invited my bil and sil and family over and said if she wanted a real veggie she could bring it, I'm not in the mood! :teeth:

Can you tell me about the hash brown casserole? Sounds interesting :)

Not the OP, but I have a great recipe for one. It is supposed to be a cracker barrel knock off.

1 30oz. bag of frozen hash brown potatoes
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 16 oz. container of sour cream
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 dg. and grease a 13x9 pan. Pour hashbrow potatoes in pan. Mix soup, sour cream, onions and 1 cup of the cheese together. Pour over potatoes and mix together. Then pour remaining 1 cup cheese over potatoes. Cook for 45 minutes uncovered. YUM!!!!

Tonight we are having filet mignon, baked potatoes and some veggie.

We're having Roast carrots, potatoes,w/brown gravy, salad and cornbread.
Does anybody else eat earlier in the day on Sundays? it is more of a large lunch for us, then we have a dessert around the time we would usually have dinner during the week, something that always happened at my house on Sundays as a child that I think I've passed on to my family. :)

Oh, I am sorry you thought I was making fun of the spelling, I wouldn't do that. I honestly didn't know what it was.....still don't really, but it looks yummy. I am southern, so we don't do a lot of Italian cooking....mostly fried food and casseroles. :rotfl:

Cookout! When dh is up from his nap and I stop DISing, we'll have barbecue chicken, hot dogs, roasted corn and jalapenos, tortillas, roasted mushrooms and roasted bell peppers..........all on the grill, so I don't have to do a thing. And Sweet tea!

London Broil, Green Beans, dinner rolls and corn for us. I'll be loading up on the beef and green beans--trying to stay away from the carbs!
