I just finished baking my Dad some peanutbutter cookies for Father's Day. (his favorite) I also bought him 2 shirts.

I'd tell you what I'm giving my DH,(Brer_Papa) but he'd read it on here :earseek: and spoil the surprise.

So, what are you giving your Dad for Father's Day?

I gave him a TP (not a typo!) Cruiser for his B-Day, so I went with a Lincoln for Father's Day.

Both the above were cards.

My Dad collects those jars with vegetables or whatever in them - I don't know if they're pickled or what they are, they're decorations. I bought him a couple more.

My Mom thinks he's gone a little wacky in his old age. She said the last thing he needs is more of them, but they do keep him happy.;)

My DH is taking my dad golfing and then out for lunch. I'm also going to give him some Disney dollars for our Nov. trip.

My father has passed away, so I lit a candle at his grave. We bought my FIL some fishing equipment he wanted.

DH got a digital palmcorder.

DH is getting the Pulp Fiction and 50 Dates DVD's.

My Dad is getting the Reno 911 DVD

FIL is getting a good bottle of wine :)

My Dad gets a candle(purple) and my DH gets 6 pair of
boxers and 3 shirts-he needs all of them.
DS has drawn and painted 2 pictures and made a special
card for his dad. Also, tomorrow, DH and DS are shopping
for deodorant for DS-his first and an appropriate Father's
Day activity! :)

Awwww shortbun, I always loved the homemade cards and pictures. I'm teaching my DGD 10 to crochet. She is doing pretty well for a beginner. She crocheted her Dad a car washing cloth and allowed me to read the card. Too cute!!

I live with my dad who is 83. My sister was here today and we were trying to plan something for Father's Day. He really did not want to go out - so that is going to be my present to him - we don't have to go out to dinner! Besides we are going out on Monday for my sister's birthday so he has to to that.

I did get him an adorable Goofy bean bag that says Happy Father's Day - Goofy has on a bathrobe and is holding a coffee cup - and I brought home a whole bunch of fried catfish (his favorite) on Friday.

My dad is getting tickets to a St. Louis Cardinals game, a new cardinals shirt and the Smallville Complete Second Season DVD..his favorite show

Happy Fathers day all you DIS dads!

Jungle Josh

my brother and i got my dad a couple of DVDs and a few shirts..
hes working all day tomorrow, so we think we may take them to the firehouse and give them to him!

For my Dad, a shirt. For my DH, a water heater timer, which he installed today and a Lowe's gift card so that he can buy paint for the house. He's probably the only dad in America who got a water heater timer, but it's what he wanted.

This sounds like I give really crummy gifts, but I swear that I don't, my DH is just weird. He would say that the best gift I ever gave him was a table saw.

He is a major home improvement/ do it yourself guy and loves to always have a project going. We just got back from WDW and he didn't want me to spend money on some other gift that might slow down his project plans.

We will be taking him out for fajitas tomorrow (no one should have to eat my cooking on a special day), and then I will make homemade ice cream tomorrow evening.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I'm giving my Dad money and an Armani Mickey figure (the sorcerer one) .:sunny:

I make a card for my Dad for his birthday and Father's day. I've been doing this for about 10 years. I usually draw fantasy-nature scenes (fairies, gnomes, bubbles in the sky) and nature scenes (a series of birds the last 2 years; this year it is flowers). Colored pencils sre my preferred media. My Dad loves them, and it doesn't take up much space in his cramped house. I'm actually working on his card right now.

:wave2:

I'm making him lunch (dessert included). And all I have to say is God Bless Paula Deen.

I'll probably get him a card too or make him one. He likes homemade things better anyway, homemade cards, homemade meals, and so on and so on. :D

I lost my father two years ago and I lost my fatherinlaw in 1996.

Sadly, I have no father's day gifts to provide this year :(

My Dad is getting an Elvis "coffee-table-like" book, filled with Elvis pictures, $5 Disney dollars (to remind him of his commitment to take us ALL to WDW in 2 years when he retires;) ), and a small, small TV (cost split between my bro & I), OH and some Fannie Mae Pixies, his fave! dh is getting a Goofy sweatshirt (his fave character), and several cards from DD. :)

 Sorry to hear that aesalsa. My daughter had gotten my husband a paintball gun with helmet and such and also a set of screwdrivers which he needed. For my dad, we had gotten him a California duster and a steering wheel cover for his truck. He doesn't need anything else, but he loves his truck and enjoys staying outside and wiping it, so we tend to get him things for the truck for special occassions.
