What are you getting your kids for Christmas/Hanukkah?

Hope we can talk older kids and grandkids. My older kids and I stay around 20-25 each since we all work and buy what we want. It's harder when they are older because either what they really want is very expensive (dil wants a European trip LOL) or we are out of touch of what each other styles of clothing are.
DD1 large bottle of perfume she likes that she won't buy for herself, a small gift card to Starbucks and a $10 ticket to the casino nearby (my guy friend is getting her a $20 ticket so she will have 30 to play for awhile)
DS1 and DIL-the plan changed as of the other night. I was waffling but found out dil is giving me her jacket she only wore twice (so she says=what am I suppose to say to that?) Granted it's my grandson's traveling team jacket but still......I got a free glass cake dish with a fitted lid so asked her if she wanted it and I'd make homemade cinnabon rolls in it for Christmas. I'll throw in a couple 5$ Starbucks cards since they go there often. She's getting everybody else Hickory Farms, I'd rather of had that!
DD2-$25 Disney gift card for her favorite churros. They are going in May and that's what she wants
DS2-A gift card to the movie theatre so he can take his girlfriend

for my grandkids, I still like to buy a bunch of little things, same that you might find in a stocking and use to put them in a box but grandkids said that since I hang up stockings I have, why didn't I put them in there. So I have for the last 5 years but they know it's grandma and not santa as Santa comes to their house only. They are funny because they make sure they give me their stockings back to fill for next year.

GS1 XBox1 game stocking stuff- gift card to Starbucks (he likes the chocolate thing), he's almost 12 and now into cologne or spray so buying one of those trial size of Axe that he likes, candy and have no idea anymore...........12 has got to be my cut off for this

GD1 Jewelry making set she wanted and a bracelet maker. Stocking-color book, sticker book, lip balm, candy other things I don't remember
GS2 Romote control helicopter for in the house and a nerf gun thing he wanted. Stocking-close to GD

I have learned to cut down. My kids have 2 sets of parents that get them something and their significant others so they are good.
My grandkids, beside their parents (santa) they have 4 sets of grandparents since we are all divorced and my sister that buys for them. When we all get over there around 10, the tree becomes full again with gifts.

The three younger ones were given season passes to ski this winter; that's the main gift for them. Will probably get a new helmet for the child that needs one and goggles for the others.

The older three haven't really thought about it; they don't ask for things often, so I don't have a running list of things they'd like. For one I might get him a personalized team track jacket (captain this year) and maybe snowboard things, the others probably cash to let them do with what they please.

We're pretty low key when it comes to gifting on Hanukah. We try to make it more about family togetherness and experience gifts than material items (and have never done the gift a day for 8 days thing)

All my shopping is pretty much done! Still need to get some stocking stuffers & presents for my nieces, as soon as I hear back from my BIL on some ideas.

I am totally done with my DD14. She will be getting from me and DH:
Hot topic gift card
Barnes and Noble gift card
Starbucks gift card
Spirited away poster
Bluetooth Speaker for her shower
portable speaker for pool area
electric toothbrush and water pic
Hamilton tshirt
Hamilton book
Hamilton poster
Hamilton 2017 calendar, and most importantly
orchestra seats to see Hamilton in NYC in August 2017!!

Mine are 8 and 5 and it gets harder every year. I had them write up additional things they would like. they are currently at 3 gifts each plus a joint gift or 2 from santa. Personally, I think it's enough, but dh wants to get them more. Ugh. My son really wants Cubelets but that's a $300 toy, so I think we have to nix that one. He tends to lose interest in things rather quickly.

i miss the days of buying toys! enjoy, everyone that has young kids. It just gets harder, and more expensive!
I miss buying toys also. It was partially selfish of me but that is part of the reason that I chose 3 kids from the Salvation Army tree this year.

They also each get a stocking filled with deodorant, razors, body spray, candy, beef jerky and stuff like that. I top them off with a little stuffed animal peeking out of the top.

My grandmother knitted stocking for every grandchild and great grandchild and they are impossible to fill because of how they stretch:)

Some gift cards- tickets to a concert she wanted, Broadway tickets, make up mirror, some clothes.
