what are you getting for ur Wii?

New this year is the Wii U. I think new releases for the old Wii will dwindle and die out as they try to push you to buy a new system.

I'm keeping my old Wii for a bit longer :goodvibes the family still enjoys it, I know last year the big game was Epic Mickey wondering what everyone is getting or has already gotten for xmas...

Epic Mickey 2 :)
The Wii is my daughter's. I wanted a Kinect earlier this year, so we bought that and the X360. We seldom purchase Wii games since we are addicted to the way you play Kinect. The graphics are so much better, too.

I am going to get a few more controllers and games.

Next year though...wii u! :P

Our Wii isn't going anywhere soon either. ;) Heck, we still have our PS2...and our SNES. :rotfl2:

We are getting our kids the I Spy pack. We already have a ton of games already. That's the nice thing about having an 'older' system = cheap games!

And I strongly recommend more than one remote. We have four and it is TOTALLY worth every penny!

DD is getting Just Dance Disney edition from DH and I. If something else is cheap on Black Friday I might grab it as a Santa gift.

With a teen and a tween boys here, I thought seriously on a 360 just recently. However, switching platforms at this time would have implied starting over with games and/or maintaining the wii and the games they still play with.

I preordered a deluxe wii u. And been pushing them to hold off on getting any new games. They noticed already FIFA will come out for Wii U and doesn't seem to be available for Wii, even though the other ones are out.

This way, the new titles will have the much better graphics but they'll continue to use the older wii titles.

Also, the controllers move forward as well - no need to invest in additional wii motes or nunchucks.

We enjoy playing Family Game Night & Sports Resort, so I'm looking for something along those lines. Looking at Go Vacation & Carnival Games, maybe Fishing Resort (will probably get Brave & Epic Mickey 2 as well). Anyone have those, or something similar that they would recommend?

Skylanders Giants, but I've noticed that as my kids get older they much prefer playing on oldest DS' X-box. In another couple of years when the new X-box platform comes out I'll probably switch to that entirely and give away the wii (or sell it if anyone will buy it :sad2: )

I was thinking about maybe something to rejuvenate the balance board, maybe wii skiing or raving rabbids, something to get the older kids involved with the younger kid (they range from 9 to 24). Any ideas?

We are thinking of getting the charging base, any recommendations?

The Wii selection this year is very sparse. As is my son's Wii game Christmas list. It looks like Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two and Skylanders Giants is about all he really wants. Fine by me. Next year will be different as the Wii U should be more affordable. I also made the offer of buying him one at the end of the school year if he gets straight As. He's done it so far. Uh-oh.

We aren't buying any because our Christmas (except DD) is our Disney trip at the beginning of Dec.

Here is some suggestions tho...
Kirby's dream collection special edition, epic Mickey 2, wipeout3, Lego Lord of the rings, and just dance 4.

Walmart.com currently has the buy 2 get one free bundle for $19.98 had nothing for me but might be worth a look at the titles..

My kids are getting the Wii U for Christmas. Put it on layaway at Wal-Mart about a month ago, even though it's not released until the 18th...couldn't turn down that deal!

All the Wii controllers and games are compatible with Wii U, according to my gamer DH!
