What are you doing for the first time this trip?

What a bummer to hear! Was it the food that was bad? Do you think it helps that we'll be on the dining plan in regard to concerns about cost?

Don't worry. For every restaurant on property you can find a rave review and a review about how horrible it was. Often done on the same day. Folks can sit at the same table, eating the same meal and come away with 2 differing opinions.

DH and I ate there for the first time last Wednesday and it is easily in our top 5 meals. We'll return without question.

We're doing a character meal for the first time. Our daughters (5 1/2 and 22 months) are really into Mary Poppins, so we're doing the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare as a surprise for them.

What a bummer to hear! Was it the [Via Napoli] food that was bad? ...

We've gone to Via Napoli a couple times and enjoyed it. The only disclaimer I have is that it is quite loud. I'd definitely check it out though.

We are doing NYE at MK, and using FP+ for the first time. I will be happy if we escape MK with all our original body parts!!

We will have so many firsts for our kids I cannot possibly list them. I am so excited!

The twins will hopefully be tall enough for a lot of the rides they were way too short for last time. (They are 38in even and have 9 months to grow 2 inches.) Even my DD was too short for anything but the Goofy ride last time we went.

For all of us our new things will be:

Staying at the Yacht Club

7DMT

Beirgarten, Captain's Grille, Yachtspan, Via Napoli

Anna and Elsa

Merida Meet and Greet

Firsts for us:

*Going in December
*Going for only 4 days
*Staying in business class at CSR
*Resort hopping to see all the holiday decorations
*Sleigh Ride at Ft. Wildnerness

Our firsts:
7DMT
Il Mulino/seeing the Swan and Dolphin (pretty cool, considering how many times we've been to Disney and haven't seen S&D)
Spending NYE at EPCOT - we've been during the day and stayed for an hour last year. We made our flight Jan 2nd rather than 1st so that we could enjoy the night and not worry about being out late.
Teppan Edo
Going with another family

Lots of new things planned for our January trip!

Dinner at Jiko, Via Napoli, and either Mizner's or Casey's Corner
Breakfast at Kona
Lunch at BOG
Lunch somewhere other than Flametree at AK
Frozen Singalong and meeting Anna/Elsa
DD's first ride on Goofy's Barnstormer
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Festival of Fantasy parade

We go fairly often, so not a lot.
Candlelight Processional (So excited!)
Biergarten
Staying at Caribbean Beach (had to try it for Free Dining)
Raglan Road
Hollywood and Vine
Travelling with 4 other families

I haven't spent the actual day of Christmas in the parks since I was young (this was when the Christmas Parade on TV was actually ON Christmas). Excited!!

-Staying at WL
-Eating dinner at BOG
-Riding 7DMT
-Sleigh ride at FW
-Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party

We're doing a character meal for the first time. Our daughters (5 1/2 and 22 months) are really into Mary Poppins, so we're doing the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare as a surprise for them.

DS and I love Mary. We have a tradition now of doing this. You will love breakfast at 1900 PF. If you don't get to see a character you want, just let someone know.

Firsts for us:
- Pop Century (ok, we stayed 1 night here in September, but we really didn't get to enjoy the resort as much as I would have liked and we intend on doing that in September!)
- F&WF!
- MNSSHP!
- Crystal Palace (DD will love this and she'll be 2 during our next visit)
- Boma!
- Typhoon Lagoon!

So excited for Mom and DD's First New Years Eve at the World

Staying on-site at POFQ:cool1:

Be our Guest lunch:goodvibes

Tomorrowland Dessert Party :woohoo:

Magic Kingdom Pre-NYE Celebration until 3am :dance3:
Epcot NYE party:
9 Dragons NYE dinner
and last but not least 7DMT :yay:

First trip without DH! EEK!

First time on the Dining Plan. I'm excited b/c I won't have to worry about paying for anything but fun stuff.

First time for Anna & Elsa for DD. I'm so excited for this....but she's going to be asking for OLAF. Mark.My.Words.

First trip with my son (!!!)
First time staying on property
First Disney trip with my MIL
First character meal
First time seeing the new Fantasyland

Needless to say... I cannot wait!!

AllStar Movies-new resort

Boma, The Wave, Maya Grill-new TS resturants

Also plan on some new CS locations, but I won't decide those until I'm actually going to eat, so wherever I'm at I'll just pick something I haven't done before.

Magic Behind our Steam Trains & Backstage Safari-new tours

I always try to do a new ride/attraction as well but again that will depend on where I am when the mood hits me. I think it's going to be Lights Cameras Action stunt show at DHS if it's open when I go this time, conservation station at AK, and maybe the France movie at World Showcase. I usually average 1-2 per park per trip. I'm actually beginning to run out of things that I think I might like and I'll have to start doing the ones I've always avoided like Stitch, Tomorrowland Speedway, or the stage shows at DHS.

Our firsts this Jan

*Staying at the Grand Floridian
*7DMT
*All young kids staying up for Wishes (hopefully)
*1900PF
*SeaRaycers (most vivid Disney memory as a kid other than SM)
*Hot dog at Casey's
*Oldest tall enough for RnRC!
*Downtown Disney and BBB
*Bringing a clear plastic Xmas ornament for characters to sign
*Characterapalooza

What a bummer to hear! Was it the food that was bad? Do you think it helps that we'll be on the dining plan in regard to concerns about cost?

It was the food. All we had was the pizza at $21 each. Truly unremarkable toppings and the bottom of the crust was burnt rancid oil. They don't have a full bar either. They have Specialty Drinks on the menu which are those sweet fruity things with a hint of alcohol. We were asking the waiter "You know, cocktails? Mixed drinks?" He just looked at us like we were speaking Chinese.
