I have bought the usual, like sun block, toiletries, clothes. The Sunday paper had a coupon for Fuji film (5$off) so I will pick up 2 more packs of film this week. Yesterday I went to Sears & bought us all matching Mickey Tees. I have been hitting the dollar store oftten & buying little things for my children's goodie bags. Kmart had Shrek candy on sale last week (we are going to US & IOA too). I bought fat Pooh pens at the dolllar store a couple of weeks ago. I found big swirly Mickey lollipops at another Dollar store. I was going to buy the water bottle fans, but decided to go with the misty mate for this trip. I bought my children new cups for traveling in the car (I'd don't want them to spill anythng!). In a couple of weeks I will start buying snacks & food for the room. I have already bought paper plates & cups. I have to admit, I am having a ball buying these little things! :hyper: My two older children have the older gameboys so I think we will suprise them with 2 new ones. I have also ordered them video nows from koolaid. We are driving, so I want things to keep them busy. We have an entertainment package built into our van, so I might pick up a couple of new movies too. I think I will buy the 2 older children disposable cameras too! So, what am I forgetting?

Oh & I thought of another thing. I usually grocery shop at Walmart, but Foodlion is doing a promotion where you shop with them for 4 weeks, spending over 35$ each week & they give youa 15$ GC. I will probably use that for snacks for the Van & room. :)

I agree, I've been shopping for our trip even though we don't go until Halloween! I've gotten a few small notebooks, matching t-shirts & bought them each a Disney towel for the pool. A couple of hats & plan to start buying packs of film at Costco soon. It can easily get out of control so I have to watch it, I love to shop! :p

I bought a Waterproof Digital Camera for our Disney trip. I have a Game Boy Advance and I am thinking of upgrading just for the hell of it and getting a new game. Either the Game Boy or a portable CD player. I am extremely nervous about the plane trip especially since we are flying at night so I am trying to get things to calm myself down. We already have the tickets for pickup and we are going to WalMart when we get there. All I have left to get is toiletries.

DANG IT I AM EXCTITED!!! I KNOW YOU SEE THE COUNTDOWN!::yes:: ::MinnieMo ::yes::

I saw the swirly Mickey pops at Dollar Tree, too. Just $1 for that much fun!! I'm sure they're three times that in the parks. I did buy my grandson one of the cheapie $1 water fans at Dollar Tree so he won't destroy my WDW one. I'm thinking my kids bought mini playing cards in Disney themes for less than $1 last summer at Wal Mart in the party section. I think the goody bag idea is great and maybe that will deter too much of the gimmees. I'm going to use the Fuji coupon, too. I think it's a great deal.

We;re getting close so I'm shopping like crazy. We're at HRH from July 15-20 and POR July 20-26. I've also got the big lollipops from Dollar tree, lots of little disney store surprise things like the little fans you wear around your neck, candy, t-shirts, bathing suits, underwear, and stuffed animals. I also got disney markers and crayons from Walmart. I ordered off ebay and got more lightchasers ( like we really need more!), disney princess combs, bubbles and pens. I love shopping and hiding the things (the kids don't even know we're going to WDW they thing we're just going to US/IOA). It makes the trip seem that much closer.

Until I have a date set with air reservations, right now, I'm just buying Disney Dollars!:earsgirl:

I've got to remember to buy moleskin and earplanes. They're pretty much essentials for me but I always wait until the last minute to buy them!

Moleskins are stuff you put on your feet to protect your feet from getting blisters. You can also put it on a blister so it doesn't get worse. It's smooth and soft on one side and sticky on the other...almost like a second skin that is protecting your real skin. You can get it in the foot department at any grocery store or Walmart.

The ear planes are for your ears and you put them in before the plane takes off and before it lands to prevent pain from the pressure. They are also available at Walmart or CVC etc...there's adult size and child size. I couldn't get them to work for my 7 year old for some reason.

ok thanks...I didn't want to sound 'dumb' but I had to know!

They definetly sound like essentials!!! We will be driving so we don't need the earplanes but the moleskins sound like a really good idea!!

Just went to disneystore.com and bought a whole bunch of non-essentials. With the great sale prices and 10% off I couldn't pass it up. Lots of stuff for 9.99 plus the 10% off. I wanted to get the Mickey luggage set everyone has been talking about but it won't ship for 19 weeks and I need it in aout 5. If you are going in July and see the family in the matching Island Blue Mickey outfits that will be us!

I buy blister stuff...moleskins, anti-blister balm from Avon, Bodyglide for chafing...

I also just bought a Misty Mate for our first Summer trip. Got it on ebay for $18 in purple!

Disney Dollars

Princess disposible cameras from Target for my girls

First Aide Kit

Travel nail polish remover

Disposible sippy cups

Snacks and stuff for the kitchen (at BWV) like non-dairy creamer, sugar, Dunkin Donuts coffee. Travel size peanut butter etc...

New bathing suits for my girls.

Tropical shirt for DH for our cruise.

Baby wipes, travel size suntan lotion for my fanny pack.

I could go on and on!!

Let's see. I've been driving my wife nuts because I'm "preparing" so much. Like I've posted before, we are horrible savers so each paycheck for the last 3 months I've been buying little items we will need. It's so much easier that way. The only porblem is we had to get a bigger Disney bag for all of it!

I've purchased:

Digital camera
Magical moments pins (e-bay)
Magical moments hand held game (e-bay for kids to play while in line)
Pressed penny book
Sunblock
Cheap rain ponchos (dollar store 2 / $1)
rechargable batteries and charger
Disney Classic FRS radios by Motorola (e-bay)
Meal vouchers
Moleskin
Tickets

So much more to buy so little time!!!

I think I'll pick the kids up some disposable cameras! I never thgouth of that. Great ideas here! :) Today I went to the disney store & bought some new shirts for everyone, lollipops & those light up fans. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

BriannesMom - We'll be there the same time as you - we'll be sure to look for you!!!

When we go on vacation, a few months before the trip, I get each of my DDs a party bag (I try to get one with their favorite character). Then each week when I get groceries, I pick up some gum, candy, disposable camera, small word search book, crayons, etc. and I put it in their bags. I only buy a couple of things each week so it doesn't add too much to my grocery bill. They don't get their "goody bag" til we're in the car - on our way!!! The girls love looking through their surprise bags to see what's in it!!!

I've also started buying the toothpaste, shampoo, etc. for the trip. Again, I like to buy one or two things each week so its not that much of an expense right before we leave. I'll also start looking for breakfast items for us! (Coke products are on sale this week at our local stores!)

I also bought some pins from the Pinshoppe for my youngest DD who has just gotten into trading! We bought her a starter set in October and she had the best time trading with the CMs. The ones I bought were $3.50 - $4.50.

briannesmom- unfortunately you won't be the only family in the matching blue island clothes in July. I had the same idea!

Are you talking about the matching tropical shirts and dresses they have for 50% off right now at the store??

I also bought 2 dresses for my DDs and the shirt for my DH but it is only for our DCL cruise in November!!!
