What are you booking this week?

Booked Italy/Switzerland - very excited as the trip reports on here have been great. Thanks to Kevin who called first thing this morning, it was stress-free for me!

Nothing for us at the moment, we still haven't finalized what we want to do and when. I also need the Iceland trip to go really well before I can commit to another ABD. We loved our Alaska and Wyoming trips, but Iceland booking process, communication, group size, lack of a lot of other kids is all giving us a bit of apprehension so I can't work up enough enthusiasm to book another one right now. Hopefully I book another one the day we get home (that's pretty much what happened after Alaska!).

I felt much the same way. I'm very disappointed with ABD right now for the way they have handled adding my mom to our Alaska trip (most recently they asked for an additional $250 for her airport transfer because she booked late and her only flight option is outside of the time they offer transfers... I called the hotel and they said the transfer would only cost $90, so not sure why the huge upcharge!). But I went ahead and reserved Grand Canyon in March and Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in August. Sounds like the latter will be hot, but the price difference was huge between August and December. Oh and my travel agent called for me and apparently save me a ton of time on the phone!

Just booked Japan for Sep 2019. Hopefully I don't freak out on the plane... but it's a major bucket list and I LOVED the itinerary.

No ABD for us in 2019. We are saving for South Africa in 2020, so we are doing some smaller trips in 2019. I am a little nervous about the cost of the Africa trips for 2019. I didn't check what they were when first posted, but they are up $2000 per person more than I expected -- which would make it difficult for us to do 2020.

@kristilew we just booked December 22nd, 2019 Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and we have a DD20 going!

Which adventure did you book?

That’s the one! Oh this is good news! She will be thrilled to make a new friend. I suppose they’ll be DDs22 by then. Hard to believe when mine was 9 on her first ABD. Looking forward to meeting you and your family!

I am registered for May 27-June7 Amalfi Coast. I will then head to Rome early for the short escape.... (or at least that's the plan right now) Short escape June 11-14. Then about a week to tool around the Florence, Milan, Venice, Verona, and the Cinque Terre, then Italy/Switzerland June 21-28. I'm jazzed about this plan. But, I am not jazzed that the ideal Amalfi Coast trip (June 14-21) was over $1000 more than the May 27th. That's why I chose not to book it.

No ABD next year... we decided to book Africa on our own as we decided we'd rather visit Tanzania/Kenya over S Africa.

No ABD trip next year but we did book a WDW trip next winter and a Tauck small ship trip out of Venice to the Adriatic.

We looked so closely at that cruise! It looks so fantastic and we love Tauck. Opted to do Tauck’s special Oktoberfest Rhine river cruise instead, but I want to hear all
About your Adriatic cruise!
