As I sit here with a swollen and tingly tongue since I must have inadvertently eaten something with either anise seed or licorice in it, I wonder...

What are YOU allergic to?

I'm allergic to anise seed/licorice and pet dander.

CATS!!!!

And I worked in a vet's office for years before I developed the allergy!

Nothing severe, thank goodness.

Cats, dogs, mold, dust mites, cockroach dust (:scared: ), plus a laundry list of plant material.

As far as food, never been tested but I think I might have some kind of dairy and/or egg allergy.
It is not bad but I really can't enjoy foods like that if you know what I mean.;)

I hear you. Cheese occasionally does that to me... but I don't think it's an allergy for me, just some sort of cheese-induced indigestion. I'm fine with all other dairy.

Cats, long haired dogs, nuts, shellfish, dairy, wheat, watermelon, and beer. I kid you not, I went to an allergist after many failed weight loss attempts. I am now on way to dropping the weight. The beer is a funny one...I don't drink anyway, but the hops or barley has gluten in it.

Cats and several different kinds of pollen. At least I'm not allergic to any foods--I'm thankful for that.

ampacillian

That's not too bad. One medicine. *knock on wood*

Cats, alcohol, and something in the forest by us (I've had to take Zyrtec ever since we moved by this forest).

Aloe Vera. I didn't develop this allergy until I was 28 years old. Since it looked like a rash, they initially prescribed putting Hydrocortisone cream on it because they didn't know what was causing it, and that cream has aloe vera in it.

I forgot meds.:headache:

Ok recently found out I was allergic to prednisone. I had steroid psychosis and candidiasis as a reaction.
I do not think I am STILL 100% over it, the fungal part not the psychosis.;)

I am allergic to pain meds that contain hydrocodone, darvocet, vicodine....whatever is in that family. Itching and hives there.

I am not good with meds anymore.:sad2:

Codeine, demerol, and vitimin E

Also the regular hayfever triggers--pollein, dust, some pet dander

oddly enough-velvet. at least something that they use to make the velvet.

Cats
and my SIL breeds Himalayans. I have to pop the Benadryl before I go to their house.

dust, mold, ragweed, maple trees
Pipercillin, Fortaz and Aztreonam <------- all IV antibiotics.

All tree nuts
Peanuts
Coconut
Scallops
Fire Ants
About 40 different trees/shrubs/weeds/grasses (too lazy to list them all out)
About 15 different molds
About a dozen medications including Codiene and several antibiotics
Feathers and down

I need to go live in a bubble. :sad2:

Cats here too. I also developed it. Stayed for years with the in-laws and they had cats. Luckily they moved so I can actually be in their house now. Although they do "forget" about my allergy when planning holiday parties at other family members' houses. Nothing like having to take drugs for a week for a 3 hour family gathering!!
