Hi I'm trying to figure out what I want to use for my something borrowed. There really aren't any family heirlooms or anything like that, and all my family live out of state, so I'm kind of at a loss. :confused3

Is it okay to borrow from the groom? I'm thinking of either borrowing his deputy badge and pin it on my garter, or his dog tags.

Something old: grandmother's wedding band
Something New: Uh, just about everything!!
Something Borrowed: ???
Something Blue: Probably the garter!

i did something old, something new, something pink and something blue. i don't know why i didn't borrow anything...

old-my grandfather's cameo on my bouquet
new-dress
pink-crinnie and shoes
blue-my grandmothers ring

I put a lot of thought into it and I really wanted my something new to be something I would wear again.

Something old: my antique diamond/sapphire ring
Something new: my bracelet and earrings
Something borrowed: my Godmother's handkerchief
Something blue: the blue flowers on my garter

I also had pinned under my skirt my mom's handkerchief from her wedding and the handkerchief she got me with my initial on it. My MIL wanted me to borrow her mother's brooch so I pinned that under my skirt too.

Something Old: My granny's pinky signet ring
Something New: My dress
Something Borrowed: My grandmother's handkerchief she had at her wedding
Something blue: Instead of a bustle, I'm having a loop put at the bottom of my dress to hold the lace off the ground (the train is very small). The loop will be blue :thumbsup2

I also have a sixpence for my shoe, which is how the rhyme ends "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a sixpence for my shoe."

I have picked out:

Something old: an antique handkerchief my godmother gave me.
Something new: My dress, headpiece, veil..you name it!
Something borrowed:" My grandmothers earrings
Something blue: My garter and the handkerchief which is also blue
And I have the six pence for my shoe as well.

Something Old - I will be wearing an an old cross and chain of mine
Something New - dress, shoes, veil, everything else
Something Blue - Yankee garter
Something Borrowed - no clue yet

something old ~ Not sure yet
something new ~ Dress, veil
something borrowed ~ garter
something blue ~ garter

I can't believe we're 43 days out! Oh my goodness:woohoo:

a sixpence for my shoe."

Hmmmm, I hate to leave anything out!! What can you do if you're wearing heal-less sandals? (My DF would say "Duct tape", but that's his answer to everything! )

I will be using:
Something old: The lace from gram's dress around my bouquet, my grandfather's cameo
Something new: my dress, shoes, jewelry, tiara, etc
Something borrowed: Caryn's pink crinnie!
Something blue: My sapphire engagement ring, gram's blue ring.

Something old: my grandmother's pearl necklace
Something new: my dress
Something borrowed: my mother's cousin's veil
Something blue: WV mountaineer garter
and if I find a sixpence I definately want to put it in my shoe!

Something old - Great Aunt's Wedding Ring
Something borrowed - I have no idea!
Something new - The whole get up!
Something blue - Patriots Garter

Where on Earth am I going to get a sixpence from?? :confused3 :lmao:

Something old: my grandmother's diamond in my ring
Something new: My Dress
Something Borrowed: ?? I don't know what to borrow either?
Something Blue: The toe & soles of my custom converse Jack Percell sneakers

Something old: grandmother's wedding band
Something New: the dress, shoes, etc
Something Borrowed: my sister's veil and tiara
Something Blue: I was struggling with this one - my seamstress sewed a tiny blue flower into my dress

I'm not even engaged yet and I have most of these :rotfl:
Something Old: Grandmother's bracelet
Something New: Probably my dress
Something Blue: Mickey Mouse toe ring (this is my favorite!)
Something Borrowed: ????

So, here is my question...Is it borrowed if it is a planned borrow??? :rotfl: My best friend is looking for something to fit! *LOL*

I'm not sure about that whole six pence in her shoe-I'm planning on wearing strappy type shoes. My best attempt would be to use tape that athletic trainers use -which is white-and then color the parts near the sole black...Just my guess...
