What are these menu #'s for?

I have been checking out menus and some of them like Cosmic Rays ,and Pinocchio Village Haus have these #'s before a food item. But not all items have them, nor do each restuarant. What does it mean.
Here is an example.

#1 Pizza Combo Meals - Individual pizza with tossed salad: Vegetable $8.29, Cheese $7.59 or Pepperoni $7.89
#2 Individual Pizzas - Vegetable $6.29, Cheese $5.59 or Pepperoni $5.89
#3 Fried Chicken Strips - Served with French fries or carrots. - $6.69
#4 Grilled Turkey & Bacon Panini - Smoked turkey, bacon, roasted red peppers, tomato and basil on multi-grain bread, served with chips. - $7.29
#5 Italian Sub Sandwich - Capicola, ham, salami, Mortadella, Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onions on a Tuscan roll. - $7.09
Antipasto Salad - fresh mixed greens, assorted Italian meats, olives, marinated mixed vegetables, and Parmesan cheese tossed in Italian dressing $6.49; Served without meat $4.69 - $6.49

My guess is that they would be combination meal numbers, making it easier for ordering--less words to say.

Any other thoughts?

Isn't it just like any other restaurant where you can order by number? I'll have a #1...etc.

I wondered that too. But some have more than one #1. Unless it's becuase the yhave different bays.

Cosmic Ray's does have different bays. And I recognized the Kosher options.
I have only eaten at PVH once a few years ago, and not returned. I don't recall what the ordering was there, and I think it has changed since we ate there anyway.

When there is a number it usually indicates some kind of combo. WHile you stand in line and figure out what you want I have found that by ordering by the # I can get through the line very quickly-- PVC 2#1veggie, 1#1 pepperoni, 3 lemonades and three cannoli--while the person next to me orders the same thing, but it takes three times as long because they repeat all the items and the CM has to look at the paper next to the register i fthey don't have the #'s and food items memorized. The registers are set for this and it is easier for the CM if you order by number rather than 1 chicken fingers and fries,etc.
