What are the worst rides/attractions at MK/Epcot/MGM/AK?

What's with all the hating on the Universe of Energy? It's the first ride I can remember being on, and I own an authentic CM shirt, which I wore to school with mixed results.

Dont believe me?

One word, Ladies and Germans: EBAY.

COOL COOL COOL COOL COOL! Love the shirt and love the ride!

MK: Loved everything (although revised Tiki show and JC - not so much)
AK: Loved everything (did skip Dinosaur and Tarzan, so can't put on list)
MGM: Fantasmic - sorry, it was just OK, think the hype raised our expectations
Epcot: Spaceship Earth - sorry, the technology featured seemed like mostly TVs and radios -- needs updating/funding, did like the ride's seats though

I forgot to add Fantasmic! I'm with you on that one!

MK- Hall of Presidents, People mover
Epcot- Mission Space makes me feel sick, Norway film (we've never liked it. Very dated and we've been to Norway and thought it was more beautiful than they portrayed)

Nothing else for us!

There aren't many things we don't enjoy at WDW. Here are the few:
MK: None, although we don't usually do Tom Sawyer's Island or the Astro Orbiters.
MGM: Sounds Dangerous - the worst attraction at WDW, by far. We just don't get it.
AK: Tarzan Rocks - I guess it's too loud for us.
EPCOT: None, really, although we usually skip the Universe of Energy.

Magic Kingdom

Tom Saywer's Island- We took the boys here in Dec. I thought they would like it. The worst part was waiting so long for the raft to take us back.

Indy Speedway- The fumes give me a headache just walking by. I can't imagine waiting in the line for that long.

Toon Town- doesn't matter though because we have two six year olds so we have to go anyway.

Ariel's Grotto- We have boys

Tikki Room- We hate the new version

EPCOT

Mission Space- Made us sick. Now we only did this during the soft opening. We will try it again now that we know they toned it down.

MGM

Sounds Dangerous- Hurts my ears.

Little Mermaid- Line is too long for the show.

Animal Kingdom

Dino World - I don't like carnivale games.

Tarzan Rocks- Doesn't matter though because my boys do. :rotfl2:

Okay, here's my vote--

Mk- Hall of Presidents, Liberty Square riverboat, Stitch's Great Escape,Swiss Family Treehouse

Epcot- Spaceship Earth, Universe of Energy. Movie at Norway

AK - I don't htink we would skip anything, except Dinosaur because it's too intense for my son, maybe we'll hit it when he's older. We really like this park, and although I know it's "nahtazu" we really like zoo's and exploring animals, so that's why we like this park.

MGM studios - Who Wants to be a Millionaire- don't know why but we are just not into it, Playhouse Disney (my son says he's too old for it now)

MK- Hall of Presidents. But it is a great time to take a nap in the AC when you're there in the summer!

EPCOT- Universe of Energy- way too long. Another great nap though.

MGM- Great Movie Ride

AK- The only rides I really like there are Dinosaur, Kilimanjaro Safari and It's Tough to be a Bug... I'll go to AK, go on these rides/attractions and then head to another park!

Magic Kingdom - Timekeeper, so boring but wouldn't be as bad if you could sit through it instead of stand.

Epcot - Body Wars, I like simulators and I really like Star Tours but this ride is so bumpy it hurts.

MGM - Sounds Dangerous, I've never gone on it because I've never heard of anyone who likes it.

AK - Kali River Rapids, we still go on it almost every time we go just for the chance to get wet but I hate the theming on the ride itself (burning rainforest, logging, etc) and it's not nearly thrilling enough. The Popeye and Bluto ride at Universal is 10x better.
Also Primevil Whirl, don't like being thrown around the ride car.

Star Tours and Body Wars make me want to hurl!

I can ride any rollercoaster, but put me in a moving seat watching shaky camera work, and I'm done for the day. Didn't even attempt Mission Space!!

The rides/attractions/shows we skip are:

MK-Astro Orbiter, Barnstormer, Carrousel, Donald's Boats, Dumbo, Hall of Presidents,
Mad Tea Party, Aladdin, Swiss Family Treehouse, Tom Sawyer Island, Speedway.
Tiki Birds, Toontown

Epcot-The American Adventure, Body Wars, Mexico boat ride, France movie, Living
with the Land, Living Seas, Making of Me, O Canada, China movie, Universe of
Energy, Maelstrom and sometimes the whole World Showcase

MGM-Backlot Tour, Honey, I Shrunk the Playground, Magic of Disney Animation, One
Man's Dream, Playhouse Live, Sounds Dangerous, Star Tours, Indiana Jones

AK-Boneyard, Conservation Station, Dinosaur, Flights of Wonder, Kali River Rapids,
Maharaja Jungle, Pagani Forest, Pocahontas, TriceraTop Spin, Wildlife Express

Most of the attractions on this list, we have done in the past. Some we will do again in the future, I'm sure, but, for the most part, these are the things we skip when we're there. We don't have small kids, either. I'm sure once we have grandchildren, we will be doing some on the things listed, but that won't be for a while yet.

Great question. I'm sure I'll forget some because they were so bad I've forced them out of my mind...but here's my list:
MK - treehouse; alien/stich;
Epcot - Innoventions east & west; Food rocks (thankfully gone); JIYI (wish they would bring back the original); body wars (too jerky)
Studio - sounds dangerous; RnR (not because its bad - I don't like this kind of coaster)
AK - bugs life (too much an assault on the guest); primevil wirl; kali river rapids

I've only been once so this isn't from great experience, but here are the list of things I actually did and did not enjoy:

Epcot: I realize it's probably blasphemy, but I thought TestTrack was lame. You get jerked around in a car for a little while and then you get to go about as fast as you do on a freeway. What am I missing? I won't wait in line for it when we go back. I probably won't bother with Figment again, either.

MGM: The Great Movie Ride wasn't really all that great, IMO. Just not my interests, I guess.

AK: Tarzan Rocks!....I just thought it was cheesy. I guess I'm still young enough that when you put a fake, theme-park rock band in front of me I'm not going to be amused. I loved the roller-bladers, though!

Can't think of anything I didn't like at MK.

Stuff I will probably never do because they don't sound appealing (based on the attractions listed in my 2004 Birnbaum's):

MK: the Treehouse, CBJ, Frontierland Shootin' arcade, Tom Sawyer island, astro-orbiter, Indy speedway

Epcot: Innoventions

MGM: Sounds Dangerous, Playhouse Live, AFI Showcase, HISTK playground.

AK: Dino-Rama, Primeval Whirl, Kali River Rapids (I hate getting wet!), the Boneyard, of course

Let me just say thanks for taking out Alien Encounter!! What a waste of time. I will try Stitch when we arrive in July.
Do not enjoy Tom Sawyer Island, Canada attraction, Behind the Scenes Tour and Conservation Station

I can't get into the Jungle Cruise, Alien Encounter (won't miss that one), Sounds Dangerous, and Pocahontos.

I know I didn't mention anything from EPCOT and there is a good reason for that. I love EPCOT!! :lovestruc :cool1: :earsboy:

Worst Rides:

MK = Stitch (waste of time!!!)
EPCOT = Innoventions (needs to be updated!) :hourglass
MGM = Sounds Dangerous (way lame!) :rotfl:
AK = Primeval Whirl (hurts your butt! :headache:)

Rides that can be improved:
MK = Winnie the Pooh (needs to be longer); Dumbo (could use FP); Tiki Birds (go back to original)
EPCOT = Living with the Land (less boring, I fall asleep!); China and Canada (if the movie theatres had seats = they would encourage more people); Innoventions (needs to be updated)
MGM = RnRC (needs to be longer!); Backlot Tour (ditto)
AK = Kali (ditto on the longer!); Camp Minnie-Mickey (this area needs something other than FLK! Sure it has another show, but comeon')

Hey, it's only our opinions!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

MK, Small World, hopefully the rehab will have improved the ride!
Epcot, Mexico ride, very,very outdated
MGM, Great Movie Ride, again outdated
AK Conservation Station.

MK: Hmmm, I will have to think on that one. The only one I dislike for personal reasons is the Jungle Cruise. I use a wheelchair and have to board using a lift on a special boat. Every time I get on the lift (and I mean EVERY time) the CM always joke about this being the MKs Tower of Terror, hang on, and all that. I can see that for a child w/ a disability but I mean come on. I'm 26 years old, it is quite obvious I have no mental disability, so PLEASE don't patronize me with that crud. :headache::mad::crazy2::rolleyes2:sad2:

EPCOT: Jouney Into Imagination. *sigh* It's just not the same anymore.

MGM: I'll have to think on that one too.

AK: Um, the whole park? LOL AK is obviously not my fave. :)

MK - Dumbo, astro orbiter, tea cups, carousel, speedway. To me, they are standard carnival/amusement park rides and just are not worth the wait.

EPCOT - Living Seas - skip the ride if there is a wait, just go look at the fish.
Mexico - if no line, it's OK to rest and cool off for a few minutes.
Body Wars - barf factor.

MGM - Star Tours - Body Wars with a different theme. Barf factor.

AK - the train out to the environmental displays isn't worth the time.

I HAVE to know!
How old were you and what year was it when you walked into school wearing this bad boy above?
I bet "mixed results" was an understatement.
:rotfl2:
Unless it was in the mid '80s and your hair was also red, orange and yellow.
LOL!

That took a lot of guts.

MK - love Splash Mt, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan (daughter's choice ) + lots more.
dislikes - Alien Encounter was total wate of time and seems to have been replaced with another to miss. Have to drag DS kicking and screaming onto IaSW (and he's 6. 3" :rotfl: )

MGM - love Fantasmic, the best show in Disney (ok it would be boring if we all liked the same things) although yes I agree it isn't as good as DL version.
R&RC (if it were longer I couldn't do it though). B&theB for the preshow from 4 for a dollar - great.
dislikes - the heat at MGM seems more intense.
we're really looking forward to L!M!A! stunt show. Saw the Paris version last October and it was really impressive.

EPCOT - DS & DD love M:S - haven't tried it - yet :rolleyes1 also Fireworks (Illuminations RoE) stunning!

dislikes - Living Seas became our "joke" attraction after our first visit.

AK - personally AK holds little appeal for me but the family like the Safari and one or two other attractions. By the way it seems that "Tarzan Rocks" is one for the women - can't think why. ;)
