What are the really nice hotels in the WDW area?

Check out Mousesavers.com for information on her preferred hotels. There is one resort that looks really nice IMO. Never stayed there though. It's called Caribe Royal I think.

It seems every time we go to WDW, we drive by a hotel, and say, oooooh we should stay there, and I never remember the name later!

There are so many hotels in Orlando and near Disney, you have to be very specific as to what you really want when looking for one.

For luxury, The Waldorf Astoria would be No. 1. Others would be Hilton Bonnet Creek and Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.

we are a party of 7, 2 families. 4 adults with 3 kids, my DS 9, my DD 14 and our friends DD 14. We are looking for that WOW factor...great pool, nice restaurant, food facilities on the property. Like a Hilton, Hyatt, etc. I don't want to be too far away from WDW or up I drive. I'd like a hotel with 2 queens plus a roll out for one of my kids. My husband really wants the resort experience this time. I think we will get more for our money off property. I've stayed on property plenty, rented a house once. I'm not familiar with the nicer hotels off property since we've only stayed on in a hotel. I love the Contemporary, but the pool area seems to quote my husband 'boring'.

We liked the World Center Marriott. Really close to WDW, and beautiful, warm pool. It's a large resort. The rooms have been redone and are really nice.

I like this hotel too, but not all the rooms are renovated. Make sure you request a renovated room or you'll be disappointed.
